While that is a valid suggestion, you never have too much cropsticks. You need loads of it when doing crossbreeding (to get new plants).

Modded servers usually dont have many players because of the modded scene nature (as in need to install client, server and all that fuzzy things).
The servers you will find that does have IC2 (and are populous) also have loads of other mods aswell. Known as modpack servers.
FeedTheBeast, ATLauncher and Technic are the main modpack hosters. Within those three websites you may have better luck finding a populous server (where IC² is installed) with a bigger userbase.

set these to true to solve a problem with GC not accepting GT meteoric iron
Remove Methane Synthetizer as it produces methane and causes energy loops. Also its not even needed, GT can produce methane on its own.

You could run around river and ocean banks and find iron and tin ore sand. However, you need GT iron shovel to dig it.
flint shovel is enough.
About cosmodruid suggestion, make the compressed carbon be obtainable from compression of 32 graphite dust (GT item) or 64 carbon plates.
@cosmodruid, there is no ore from what i see, its just massive usage of coal dust.
One thing that bothers me, though: when I centrifuge the slag, I get 5 coal dust (and a tiny pile of gold dust), which indicates that refined iron has significantly less carbon than regular iron, so how is it supposed to be the same as steel?
Iron from ores have more carbon than desired at the moment, thus we remove it.

Very High voltage lines are aluminum instead of copper for reasons other than capacity.
Said reason is weight. Aluminium is way lighter than copper, thus huge thick wires are possible.

I want To Join because this modpack includes many of my favorite mods including Mystcraft, IC2, Ender storage, portal gun, Etc.
And i would love to experience this modpack on a server worth playing on that i can challenge my self with, not to mention i need a server to test my kills of dedication on LOL, well anyway i hope you consider me for your community, and i would be happy to join
Hey, you replied to a thread which last post is more than an year old.
This server is likely dead.
The tower get smaller as it reaches the top. Just don't use too many blocks and it should be fine.
Or you could always build something like a tower that may or may not resemble a IRL windmill.
Strange, because the winds were increasing as I was going higher. Which version of IC2 are you using?
