Maybe have the creature spawning ability as an upgraded variant (cloning vat?), aside from that, I like the idea of not having to play around with an animal pen is one that I support.

so kind of a micro-voltage version of the batbox?

When possible, the APS mod fusion generator feeding into a bank of bc-ic crossover mod power converters. makes for a worthwhile long-term goal, and is awesome looking when set up.
-
interesting. that might make finding a mushroom boime not insane hard and actually possible on some seeds :p could also technically turn rain off by letting the world generate and then turning all boimes to desert :p
That was my interpretation as well. My thought if the mods are willing to do this was to have some of the terraformer blueprints generate the appropriate biome within the area of their influence after it has been running for a while (I my guess after the average time for 50% or 75% conversion), there's no reason these biome changes need to be beneficial though. If the irrigation tbp was left on for too long, it could begin to have a chance to convert the area in swampland, or something similar.

More of a question than a suggestion really, but this seems like the best place for it. From what I understand of the changes in 1.2, the way that chunks are stored or somesuch will permit mod tools to effect biomes. If my understanding is roughly correct, then now that it is plausible for something like the terraformer or a new device to alter biomes, are the designers of IC2 willing to implement such a thing in a future release?

what about trapping some zombies on a series of treadmills oriented in the same direction, then at the front of the treadmill farm, a row of fenced off snow golems to knock the zombies back a square or two? Energy and entertainment all in one!

Set up and fuel a terraformer in the nether with the chilling tbp, make hell freeze over!

Lily Pad?
What about something like an industrial grade lily pad? Maybe an initial platform that can be put on the surface of the water like marine grade construction foam?

Agreed on both points, designing a good looking and good running factory is the mark of a pro minecraft player (minecrafter? minecraftian?)
-
Possibly. imo, it turns the engineering side of minecraft up to 11, but at the cost of the artistic side (without rp2 micro-blocks or alot of effort, the average IC2 factory is pretty ugly looking). My thanks to the team as well for providing this option.
-
True, but the buildcraft pump cannot be run in conjunction with the IC2 miner, which I've found to be much easier to clean up after than the quarry, in addition to the significantly reduced production cost.
-
Given that the geothermal generator is now able to accept lava from bc pumps, could it be possible to have the IC2 pump be able to send lava directly into Buildcraft pipes? It would save people alot of tin (which is already somewhat uncommon) and would certainly help the two mods work together in a more seamless manner.

SCV good to go!

Very snazzy, and it looks like you have a clear plan for future expansion, that alone puts it above many people's works. Take care to keep that plan up to date as the base grows, otherwise you may find yourself with a lag riddle mess (killed my first bc/ic2 factory). Other than that, I would second the idea of using rp2's microblocks for decoration, those things are awesome.

Half the fun is finding out what turns fort awesome into fort crater.
-
Have you tried the zeppelin mod? It's still very much a beta, but with a little work I think it could add a whole new level of awesome to this. (I can confirm that it works with ic2, rp2, but not bc, also be care in the materials that you use, I found illuminators will cause the game to crash, and I suspect that there are others as well.)

how does the control block know what blocks are part of the machine or not?
-
wiring, or in the production of reinforced stone/glass is how most of my extra copper gets used (non IC uses consume a fair bit as well)

I love Kreekgod's idea, may I suggest an impact crater where the lunar miner lands?
