ic2 needs new ways to genrate power

This made me laugh and facepalm at the same time.

And even as a Efficiency booster for cables i reject the idea, we don't need more shit to hookup to the E-Net to make it lag even worse, enough with the solar arrays (not the addon).

    tl;dr sorry.

But i can tell you that IC+BC+RP would most likely will not be joining hands never because those three mods have 3 different license to them, at best if the developers of said mods "joins hands" it will be through a cooperative Mod Addon to be used with their mods (Kinda like Better than Buildcraft)

Forge technically has updated to 1.2.5... Just not a very good build yet.

Also support this. Maybe not an entire inventory swap (little OP), but the hotbar swap is a great idea.

Yeah but like most modders im expecting an official forge release.

Quite honestly, this is how i though that other suggestion should have done.

I'll give you my support for this. (If al shot this one down too, i may or may not code it myself if i ever start modding seriously, stupid forge doesn't want to update to 1.2.5 yet, besides should be nice practice i guess)

First: note "probably." I haven't used Forestry mod, but I'm reasonably certain that its backpacks don't allow you to use items that are inside the backpack while they're still inside the backpack.

What he's talking about isn't just a wearable inventory, it's an MFSU+backpack with a teleporter inside the backpack, that the user uses by right-clicking while holding whatever item is in his hands. A wearable inventory that the user actively interacts with without actually opening the inventory. It's not a question of whether it's possible to combine a storage chest and armor; it's a question of whether it's possible to use a teleporter that's stored inside a chest (that the user is wearing).

Everything its possible, but it depends on your coding skills and how much time you want to dedicate to that project. Although i admit it could require some degree of modification of vainilla minecraft and that will only make that thing take a lot more time. (Because modifications to minecraft should be done by request to the forge mantainer)

Like i always say, its less of a "how", and more of a "when"

so scaffolding are actually "flame-protardent poly-mascot-flowmulate"? creepers are nothing a fence can't fix i'm more concerned about fighting a spider and accidentally punching a hole in my house

Only if you fight Spiders using an Axe or a chainsaw.

Even after reviewing all this information, I'm still unsure where my leanings are on this matter. On the one hand, with the built-in mod support, it should get mods up to date faster...but to do so would require some mods to literally start from square one again, it's sounding like, or at the very least, a considerable amount of rewriting.

Or maybe this is just the ramblings of a semi-sleep-deprived computer jockey who's reading into things too much.

Yep, some rewriting must be done, but at least its for the better.
