could you add these block id's to falsebook bridges, doors, gates, also I don't think the signs are responding to redstone signals. Is this turned off or just not working.

Do you use bukkit? If you have sign commands we could use detector signs for the owner of a base, and when they aren't online their machines could automatically get shut off
I like that idea, not sure how easy to impliment but very nice.

Exactamundo. For being a free server, the Gorge is actually doing pretty decently, even taking into account crashes and lag, and the admins are spending their own time (and money!) trying to make it better for us. Think about it a bit before you complain too much about crashes and lag and downtime...Lev takes donations for the server, but he doesn't make any of us pay anything for it. The connection, the box, the issues with the technicians and all of the other headaches that come with running a server...he's paying for it all. For you.

Best way to host linux box these days is in the cloud, amazon aws is best for money and uptime. If server fails you can boot up new one (with backup) in like 5 min, problem is its not cheap. For work I run like 15 servers this way, it costs around $60 a month a box, cheaper if pay year in advance. There are cheaper options, but they are all in and about same price range, which would in my humble guess change server to a pay server, which would set cost like $5/month per person.

what pool you in? I have like 10 servers, with cpu only generation I was underwhelmed by results

- gpu more than cpu at something like 50-1 (ati cards seem to do better)
- need to be in a pool (group of people working as team, otherwise takes like 5 years to make money)
- you will prob generate $10 in 6 months, next year you will make 50% of this year, due to the way bitcoin inflation works
- easer to prob just give $10 to server admin, but a cool journey to do via bitcoin mining.
