Taken from the IC Titanpad:
Quote* A microchip lithography machine for assembling complex machines. It could require electricty and perhaps a caustic material to turn silicon wafers and copper/gold into finished chips.<-THIS! Basically a more advanced version of a crafting table. <- Nope, Steve can do that all by himself with a saw and a hammer
There are plans for an electric wrench in the future.
Adien if you have access to an SMP server would you be able to test this changed server side class for me?
We don't really run teleporters so testing its eh, seems to work on ones that are about the max draw distance apart without kicking me with allow-flight=false set.
linky
Tempted to go through and knock out all the double chat messages (ie tele charge levels, freq messages, etc)
You sir, have won the internet.
My test of approx 500 some odd blocks resulted with a successful teleportation with flight allowed and disallowed.
Could you explain how to do this? I couldn't get redstone wires to activate at the end of a cable or beside a generator.
You have to use the Energy-O-mat to make the transition from Eu to RS current.
Storage Blocks have already been taken into consideration for IC2.
Please be sure to read the suggestion compendium before making a suggestion.
Thread will be archived (again) shortly.
Splitting cables is meant to split energy into two halves, which is great, but it loses energy if the input is an odd number. For instance, if burning coal in a generator and splitting the output to two MFE's, the total energy burned is 4000, but the total energy gained is 3200. This is because the generator outputs at 5 EU/s, and each 5 EU "packet" of energy is immediately split into two 2 EU outputs (since EU's need to be measured in integers), losing 20% of the energy!
Rather than giving each output half the energy of the input, one output should be given half the energy, and the other output should be given the rest. In this case, one output would receive 2 EU, and the other would receive 3 EU. Ideally, it would alternate, to keep things even on average.
It's not lost, per se, It's immediately teleported back to the sender, and since the generator doesn't have any sort of energy storage, it vanishes. Connect it to a single MFE, set to and even output if you want to do some splitting.
Yes, there are plenty of things you can do (One of my favourites is using a piston to move wires to stop the flow of current).
How do I disable this?
I've already set allow_fly = true and I still get this
In short, You can't.
Oh, yeah, that works. Why do these item ID's need to be shifted, but not the regular ones found in Data Values documentation of Minecraft Wiki et al.?
It's something in Notch's coding.
/give works great for blocks on SMP, including those native to IC. Giving items, however, doesn't seem to work. I'm using the item ID's listed in IndustrialCraftConfig.txt in the latest download (for 1.7.3).
Add 256 to the ID when you /give to allow for the shifted Index.
Display Morehey everybody,
when i type in a item id from IC, it says ' Theres no item with id XXXXX'.
for example ill try to spawn a IDcoinstack (29896) ill type
[/give dev 29896]
and console comes up with "Theres no item with id 29896'
But it seems like the 3 digit ids DO work.
whats going on?
Add 256 to the ID to compensate for the shifted index.
(A stack of coins would then be 30152 instead of 29896).

Although this is a neat idea, there would most likely be a lot of issues with lagging out a server from multiple players using these (Since each screen has to render what the camera "sees" every tick update, unless nothing changes) at the same time. If the CCTV mod ever creates a working SMP version that is relatively lag free, this may be a possibility (I am neither confirming nor denying the addition of this into any form of Industrialcraft, I'm just looking at this from a coder's point of view).
Iron is a depletable resource, you can get electricity almost indefinitely. In the moment you have to offset the gain of power through biofuel with a cost of iron. After your change you would offset the gain of power with a smaller cost of power. Although you could make the energy cost of cutting leaves such that making a can of biofuel would consume more energy than it generates.
The Fuel system is getting a complete overhaul, so leaves may not even be able to make biofuel in it's "pure" block state.
Why not use a system similar to lockette?
Industrialcraft is not supported by Bukkit (In it's normal form). I'm also in agreement with a "selective private chest".

Edit2: Redirecting to Lock and Key Chests
Radiation has already been denied (Please make sure you read the suggestion compendium before posting a suggestion) unless a "lag-free" implementation is figure out, which someone is working on (the CPU usage would be about the same as water calculation).
Please also limit suggestions to one per thread. It makes it easier to archive, as well as other people know what you're else you're suggesting without reading (You have 24 hours to remedy this).
Known issue. You either have to do it really fast, or Grab the fix that's on this forum/ the minecraft forum.
