    First I think you should delete or atleast crossout the denied ideas.


    Second I really like your 9 slot gui idea with more water + lava cells making more energy and coolant cells letting it run for longer
    however I think that you should still be able to just dump lava cells or buckets alone (without water) into the generator and then it would make energy at the current rate also I think the gui should be larger ( 5 wide 3 tall) to allow more combinations of lava/water/coolant cells
    (less efficient)

    I think that a simple solution would be either
    A let energy crystals autominers
    B let batpacks be used in miners
    a higher powered Re battery is entirely unnecessary
    how ever a Single use version of energy crystals would be welcomed by me

    Simple circuit with two timers and latch can alternate the periods of producing electricity and cooling, which you can tune as you wish ^_~

    As i have begun to use redpower I understand what you are talking about but I have been unable to make a working example could you please give me a screenshot of such a working setup I have a good reactor design for a 2000 ON 4600 OFF cycle but I just cant figure out how to make that circuit

    TBH i think that there are many good designs here but I think that the point was that His reactor needs extra no external cooling noted by the fact that in water it will have -21 heat production
    personally I am looking towards high power reactors which are not necessarily very efficient but they do produce lots of energy simultaneously here is a Mark II example:

    quite a high energy yeild for a Mark II
    I can do >25% better with the iridium custom nuclear pack items but thats almost cheating

    There is an example on how to fully automate it. I'm sure there are better designs out there, but this one works great!

    And as you can see at 6:33 that there are some still hanging on the dirt this is the loss which cannot be automatically collected
    yes i already have an automated reed farm design myself but for stuff to burn in generators cactus is much more efficient both in space and in resource use and efficiency perspective

    have you noticed you can use wooden pipes to EXTRACTS stuff from reactors? If you time the clocks right, you can get a bucket to cool the reactor EVERY tick (+500 heat stable setup, nice to meet you!) and then pull the empty one out.


    Now, is there any automated way to FILL buckets ... ? Edit: BC pump?

    This i tried and it is An Absolute Agony to get the timing right so you either end up overflowing buckets, extracting full buckets or blowing up your reactor

    I did something similar only with gold ore, DM furnace and semi automated but it just felt stupid to keep recycling the same stuff and get free stuff out of it so now I just macerate and DM furnace the stuff I mine with autominers and my huge quarries

    no to 4x dusts
    I have a 16 macerator array and two IFs i wait 10 minutes for the maceration to finish and I spend 2 minutes feeding dusts into my IFs

    So... The nuclear reactor spits out basically everything anyways.
    I don't know how to use java, but I'm sure all you would have to do is add the empty bucket to the Nuclear Reactor Spit out list.
    Obviously easier said then done. Just seems really reasonable.
    There is no reason for Empty buckets to be in the nuclear reactor anyways.


    Another way is using Ice blocks to cool down the reactor. But in 1.8 the snow biome is gone so it will be harder to get snowballs. So it will be harder to make Ice blocks.

    yeah i sort of see the joke and dynamite fishing would make more sense if dranishan is not going to do anything could someone please make a dynamite fishing mod for V 1.8.x

    it requires approx 400 EU on average to make 1 UUM with maximum scrap application according to my calculations so i fully agree with Above


    Besides if we ever manage to attain a technological prowess to allow a controlled break of the strong nuclear force in atomic nucleus-es we could have near infinite energy IRL too :P


    and back on topic: if you simply have enough compressed snowballs (a renewable resource) you could theoratically (with buildcraft) allow a would be Mark V to run a full cycle without any big booms i am calling this C.A.S.U.C. for "Constantly Applied Single Use Coolants" the only downer is that it only allows a reactor with 5 chambers because the pipe has to be connected directly to the reactor block

    it has the four bottom middle blocks filled with glass 4 blocks of air and the rest filled with flowing water to keep the perfect balance
    the heat production is cut neatly in half between internal and external cooling and it just works!

    I just liked the look of them there XD I knew that they would not absorb heat from anywhere actually that was sort of the point

    I think that all the effort involved in ferrying around material plus the capital investment into multiple breeders, control circuits, mass fabricators and processing should easily balance the energy gain. Think of it like a giant hamster wheel for steve.
