Pls update. This is better than your mod. They only add one block
My mod uses one block id. Or you don't like additional features? Maybe just don't craft them?)

Could you explain a bit more on what you want to do now.
The Sensor is transmitting heat data to multiple blocks or how would this work?
Is the goal to create a system to display reactor heat levels with redpower lamps(thats atleast my goal) ?
Please wait for a week or so. If current version will work fine, and have no more bugs, you'll see what I mean.
apparently redpower alloy wires no longer connect to the thermal detector and/or its alarms.it worked in 1.1.3 before, could you investigate the issue?
Can you try v.1.1.5?
Strange behavior of RP wires with Forge IConnectRedstone interface.
What about a block that transmits heat data, if the reactor cannot. Then use a Freq. Transmitter to link it to a set of receivers or use Channels.
I do not support the item idea, inside the reactor it would take space->less EU/t
As I said before, most likely space wouldn't be taken, but you will lose a sensor (one sensor for one frequency).
You can use Thermal Monitor+WirelessRedstone or Modular Force Field addon to get remote indication with block on reactor. I don't want to implement another way to do the same.
v.1.1.4 released.
What's new
- sound stops on signal removing (without waiting for the end of the sound)
- sound looping takes into account duration of the sound
- single alarm can't generate more then one siren simultaneously
- added charged digital thermometer to creative inventory
- fixed connection of alarms to redstone wires
- fixed possible crash on placing block to non empty space
P.S. sound processing is significantly reworked to support controllable looping and stopping. Let me know if something goes wrong.
I mean having the sound loops itself.
I'll check, how I can loop any sound or get it's duration to loop it manually. If I understand you correctly this time =)
Messing with the sounds is doggy. Is it possible to have the sound replace itself? A new sounds seems to loop based on the length of the original sound.
Do you mean a situation of multiple on/off of redstone signal during a short period?
1 other idea though no idea how do able, to add a "volume control" wouldnt actualy lower the volum but set the amount of blocks from source it could be heard from, though as i say not sure if its doable
It's already have global volume control via config settings. "alarmRange" parameter is almost what you want. But this parameter affects volume. Changing of the range without volume changing is not supported by minecraft sound system, so it requires separate sound management. This is not what I want to do. At least for now.
Display MoreLOVE THIS
i added it for the alarms (felt my base was missing alarms ) im not yet nuclear )
I have one suggestion favor to ask,
i wasnt keen on the default alarm so went looking and found http://soundjax.com/alarm_sounds-1.html theres several on there and then an idea struck me, can you move the sound file to the resources folder of minecraft, have a little gui on the alarm blocks that allow you to change between say 5 alarms? then in the resources folder have alarm1.ogg alarm2.ogg alarm3.ogg alarm4.ogg alarm5.ogg
this would allow players to customise thier alarms a bit more but also use it for other things (for example i would swap alarm5 for the sound of fans and have a snesor so when im near my engine room i hear fans ...alarm4 for computer beeps so my computer room sounds authentic)
the gui wouldnt have to be much just a simple 1 2 3 4 5 would work
thanks in advance even if you dont add that its an awsome mod
I like this idea. It will ptobably be implemented right after few bugfixes and remote thermo block.
What about a Wireless Heat Control?
Have a similar looking Block with a Dish ontop sit somewhere and use the Freq. Transmitter to link it to the Reactor. This way you can setup multiple Control units without having to plate the whole reactor with them. OR you could do something like Wireless Redstone does, but that would again require a block to sit on the reactor.
Reactor doesn't transmit heat level data, so you need remote sensor. Pair of blocks like wireless redstone is not what I want to do, because you already can do similar system with Thermal Montior and Wireless Redstone.
I have two ideas for remote sensor:
- item, which should be placed to reactor's inventory.
- item, which should be mounted to reactor's hull (single-use item, which disappears on use).
I prefer first one, but as far as I know, reactor can contain only specific set of items. So probably second idea will be implemented.
Thanks Shedar for this kickass mod!
I made a video if you want to use it in your post
Thank you! I've added link to the video to the OP.
And thank you for bug report, I wiil fix it in the next version.
can you cange the sound os the siren in the files or not ?
cause i want a more siren sound like an evacuation alarm.
BTW. great mod, keep on going
Current sound is "most siren" sound, that I found with Public Domain license. It will be changed if I'll find better one with appropriate license.
You can change it yourself. It stored as resources/newsound/ic2nuclearControl/alarm.ogg in your minecraft folder after first launch.
Don't think Eloraam has an API yet, but it would be cool to be able to connect a bundled cable directly and monitor several temps at once. (especially now that RP Control is available)
Yes, it would be cool to integrate my Thermal monitor with RP Computer and I really hope that Eloraam will release API soon. WR-CBE is already configurable with IOX words, so I guess interaction with not native blocks is intended by design.
The Maxheat + color + remote is perfect
It also will have some downsides, just to be balanced =)
Available! "ccSensors" for ComputerCraft. http://www.computercraft.info/…-mc-125-cc-133-ccsensors/
Unfortunately ccSensors doesn't support SMP yet. But, if take into account the string "remodel parts of the code in preparation for SMP" in the changelog, SMP version probably coming soon.
Can you make a Remote Screen?
Like this: You put an Block onto the reactor/chamber and it connects with them
this data gets send to a block like the directly screen. Ofcourse both needs a screen for the "channels" (and maybe an option to switch the redstone output behaivior) but with this we can build an reactor control room
Next planned feature is a Thermometer block with remote sensor. It will have a more detailed indicator, not just red/green color. But I definitely will not implement something like a computer.
I have updated the Texturepack to NC v.1.1.3
It looks really nice, I like it! Thank you for quick update.
v.1.1.3
Two more blocks added. Now you can build your industrial alarm system. Check OP for details. The idea is taken from this thread.
I created a 64x Texturepack for the Mod.
Download/Info here: http://forum.industrial-craft.…page=Thread&threadID=6006
Thank you! Thermal monitor looks awesome. Added link to the OP.
As far as other mods shouldn't be used, I'm not sure, is it possible to craft solars automatically without BC crafting table?
