ill suggest it then. iridium would make sense for for protecting steve from heat and radiation(though its still a myth)
actually since iridium is the second densest material known to man it should be one of the best radiation insulators.

i actually found with enough practice using sticky dynamite you can precisely shave walls and ceiling, i used about 50 stacks of it to perfectly shave out my 40 by 40 by 20 room. just takes practice on the corners and sometimes the placement of a cobblestone.

It vexes me that some of the other mod ores like Nikolite wouldn't be affected by the Fortune enchantment, though...
yeah but that's because fortune is a Vanilla MC thing and Uranium was added from IC2 so it's not on the "proc list" for a chance of doubling it. this miner upgrade is part of IC2 so i think it should affect it. or allow you to mine the Uranium Block that you can then macerate for 2 ores.

Thanks - I put a fair amount of thought into these three when I thought them up.
I believe I specified it'd only double those three's drop rates, as well as Lapis - you'd still only get single blocks of iron, tin, etc. ore. Lemme clean up the original post to make it a bit less ambiguous, now that I've taken another look at it.
What do you think? 10-15 percent increase a good ballpark for the Topographical upgrade? Or am I a bit high/low?

sounds like it should be an upgraded version of the Mining Laser Set on Scatter at all times that is much more focused and uses refined iron as it's shells..

sounds like a good idea to me, maybe use heat dispensers instead of coolant on the sides and use water cells on the bottom, basically the heat dispensers would pull heat from the reactor and heat the water boiling it and then that would be used as an enriched Hydrogen Fuel, atleast that could be a basic concept as to why you'd use water/coolant cells as fuel.
sorry about the double post but I had an idea what if as the melon battery is depleted it turns orange instead of grey and ultimately into a pumpkin (or at least the contaminated hollowed husk of a gourd that steve perceives as a pumpkin)
or it would just turn grey and looks cracked and can be harvested for only 1-2 seeds.
i think it's a great idea but unlikely to be added due to it not being their "cup of tea" and it requiring ALOT of coding.
correct, the Quantum Helmet allows you to breath under water. i'm not sure about the newest update, but you used to be able to enchant your helm to allow mining at regular speed under water as well.
i think it would fit in ok, it's basically a EU or Coal Fed version of an iron pick. and yes i agree with the machines.

considering the forces we are taping for power are well how do i put this? MELONS! I think that 52eu/t is a little extreme also melon slices would not be able to hold that they are more acidic than others you would need to make a whole new crop (how about you try and tap a big basket of apples?
what do you think of pumpkin batteries to go with the melon bateries? they would work the same but would only hold 1/4 the eu or less
nah, pumpkins are hollow and i wouldn't imagine would be a very good conductor. also after many hours cross bredding and genetically selecting melons till you get to Teir 16 Acid Melons, then 52eu/t seems like a reason output for a generator that requires such a large amount of maintenance,
also i think these should probly produce around 8-16Eu/t when you first get them and then increase that with Crop Cross-Breeding to make Super Melon Batteries eventually. producing up to 52eu/t?

you mean like when you harvest the newer more powerful melons? maybe have the cross-bred melon be harvested as a whole, and if you break them then they revert back to a basic melon. you wouldn't want to have to tear apart a melon and put it back together anyways... it'd bruise to much :p
