A Word of Warning. The Reactor Planner is a little bit bugged in regards of Thorium and Plutonium. I would doublecheck it via Computer Cube.

Also there is a new Thread for GregTech based Reactors in the Addon Discoussion Section. (because the Nuclear Section could be misleading for non-Addon Users)

First off, I apologize if there is already a fix for this, but I am having a problem with the expensive recipes taking over the regular IC2 recipes. I have all of them set to true as seen in the my attached config file. I have deleted the config, mod, and IC2 to try and resolve the issue. I also apologize if I am missing something very simple.
    Thank you in advance!

And what exactly is the Problem, you are talking of? If (ConfigSetting == true) then (use my Recipe) else (use the regular one).

Well my version of the config doesn't start everything with B: or I:, try this one GregTech.txt (Copy and paste into your config), also the expensive recipes are supposed to take over regular IC2 ones, did you set it to true (on) or false(off)?

The B: and the I: prefixes are from newer Forges.

That could give Gregtech a bad reputation (lots of exploits, for example)

    This.

I add Endgame Content to make Endgame more exiting, but I also make it harder and still more realistic to achieve (what is a very good thing, if you know about the sense of Life and that Stuff). I honestly wont make things easier, just because of some irrational complaints. Is it really soooo hard to take twice as much Copper/Tin, just to get Bronze? I have absolutely no Problems with that, as Tin and Copper Ore are way too abundant anyways. I actually use the Bronze Pickaxe (In combination with the Jackhammer) very often earlygame, so I know what I'm talking about.

and require a LOT of refactorization.

Not really. I have just two Functions, which add Recipes. 1st is the postload-Function, and 2nd being the OreDictionary-Handler (And that thing is a HUGE Block of Code). Oh moment, I forgot the automatic handling of Dust->TinyPileOfDust and backwards Crafting, but that doesnt really count.

I know about complaining people, but most of them are irrelevant for me, as their complaints are just not justified.

here is my suggestion if you have to mess with other mods stuff A tell us in big bold what mods you have changed and b make it optional with default to NO, a big easy to use option at the start of the config "allow my mod to change otherpeoples mods and vanila recipies = true/false"

Lol, 80% of the Stuff is changing other Stuff. If there is any exploit, then I remove it if its relevant. The Foretry Bronze is not only exploitable with IC², its also exploitable with Thermal Expansion. I had to remove it as I dont like getting infinite valuable Stuff from exploits.

@Argument A: YOU OBVIOUSLY CANT READ BIG RED LETTERS, WHICH ARE EXPLAINING THAT I CHANGED RECIPES, BY LETTING YOU READ THE Q/A, BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING HERE!!!
I know about the Irony that you cant read the text over this sentence.

@Argument B: That would autodisable 90% of my Addon => No. All Features are enabled per Default, unless they make things too OP.

After testing some things, I found out that your Planner doesnt work correctly with Plutonium and Thorium.

I test the Designs in my Computer Cube and most of them cause explosions, after they got labeled "Full Cycle", by your Planner.

I dont know how you coded that applet, so I cant give hints to fix that. All I can say is, that you should run it through the ComputerCube to proof that it works correctly. ;)

Greg, I found what you mean about bronze doubling with centrifuge, but honestly, instead of disabling that recipe why not nerf / remove your centrifuge recipe?
Early bronze is extremely useful for tools and easy to make, this nerf doesnt make much sense.

Change your centrifuge recipe to 3 tiny piles of copper and 1 tiny pile of tin and whola, everything adds up even no loss no gain.

Try to use the Mortar to create Bronze. Its as early as Forestry available, but produces half the Bronze.

Minecraft crashes whenever I try to load up the recipe of the Plutonium Cell in NEI, could it be that I'm using a faulty version of NEI/Chicken Core?

Log is added as an attachment:

Rendering Errors like that, are almost always CB's fault. Updating/Downgrading NEI will most likely solve it.

We all know about the Reactor Planner making us able to use the Reactor Components of GregTech.
As these Designs are not supposed to be added to the regular Thread, I open this Thread for it.

Make sure to proof your Design by letting a simulation run through the Computer Cube! Sometimes the Planner doesnt seem to work correctly, but my ComputerCube is 100% accurate, as its a real simulated Reactor ingame. I will mention Bugs to Talonius.

    Here is a bad example:
Simple Thorium Reactor, Infinite Cycle, but with a secret EasterEgg
This melts most things after 400 seconds, and explodes 28 seconds later. Great, right?

So if its not simulated in the ComputerCube to proof it, it doesnt count!
You can now Post without testing them inside the ComputerCube, as I will test the Designs anyways. But dont give me Designs to explode the Base.

I will most likely update this List irregularily, as I have to open Minecraft to test the Designs.

Here is my own Idiot Proof Design for Thorium Reactors:
    Simple Design 1
    Produces: 28.000.000 EU at 28 EU/t with Eff 7
    Runs forever * /

And here another good one, which saves 2 Iridium Plates:
    Simple Design 2
    Produces: 56.000.000 EU at 56 EU/t with Eff 7
    Runs forever * /

Pretty much the same as Simple Design 2, but needs Gold Vents and only 2 Chambers:
Cheaper Version of Simple Design 2 by Talonius
    Produces: 56.000.000 EU at 56 EU/t with Eff 7
    Runs forever * /

More Expensive Thorium Reactor by SSD
    Produces: 112.000.000 EU at 112 EU/t with Eff 7
    Runs forever * /

    Plutonium is what you have?
A simple Plutonium Reactor with Iridium Reflectors by raGan
    Produces: 52.800.000 EU at 120 EU/t with Eff 6
    Runs forever + /

You need a simple and extremly cheap Breeder? This is our simple 0-Chamber Solution:
    Cheap Breeder by SSD
Produces: Reenriched Cells, and minor EU output of 1000000.
    Runs forever * /

Thutmose has a compilation Post of his Designs. Make sure to check it out.
    The Post

/ = until you need to resupply Nuclear Fuel.
    - = until you need to resupply Coolant Condensators or similar.
    * = 5 times longer than regular Uranium.
+ = 2 times longer than regular Uranium.

"a random RawCode or RichardG coming along and saying this isn't possible" or something like that.

They are both known for rejecting Ideas, just because of difficult Code, so that was a valid Sidenote. ;)

"you're not doing your job well enough so I'll do it for you"

I could throw evidence Posts of mine at you, which are confirming this "I'll make it better than you."-thought of mine, as I think like that very often.

But except for the current maintainers of Buildcraft (so many Bugs, which are at least a year old. Y U NO fix them?), I dont think "You are not doing your Job well enough" about Mod/Addon-Devs.

"I love IC2, I want to enjoy it as much as possible, and do so with other mods, so therefore I am going to allow completely EU dependent creations to be made"

Indeed, IC² is the most useful and awesome Machineadding Mod out there, what is the Reason I chose it for making an Addon.

@People thinking IC2 recipes are too easy and "OP"
You guys have played the mod a while, after playing anything for this long, what doesn't become easy and a sort of routine? Remember when you first picked up IC2, had no idea what you were doing, and just sort of progressed up the tech tree? Back during your first experience I can say with 99% certainty that nobody thought "wow this is OP" when they first reached UU-matter, or thought "that was way too easy" when they first crafted a diamond drill.

Me + Technicpack for MC-Beta-1.8.1 (I'm not really proud of it, but honest) = QSuit after 1 Week of playing with the real Techmods the first time. I even made an EE-Exploit-Machine, based on Sandstone compressing and reverse Crafting with BC+EE (note that I started with EE after making the QSuit).

Etho + FTB-Pack = Even better than myself, and he uses the nerfed Recipes of GregTech!

Just to give a few examples of people, who think IC² is OP.

Greg, is it a bug or intended that we cant use the copper / tin ingots to make bronze ingots?
The dust recipe from IC2 is still there, but forestry recipe is gone. If this is intentional can you give us a config option for it?

Intended. The cheap Forestry Recipe would allow duping with the Centrifuge. All relevant Dupe-Glitches will be prevented as soon as I find them.

    V2.54b
Added a few Wooden Maceration Recipes.
Fixed a Bug with the ID-Resolver and Energy Storage Items.

@Copying other Mods: Yes, I add similar Machines, but as I have to go HighTech with this Addon, I need them, but cant just make Railcraft, Forestry, Thermal Expansion and Redpower as an additional Requirement.

This mod should rather be called Rejected Suggestions

Just because everything what I implement has been suggested before? You know some just got denied due to Code-Reasons, or due to not enough time.

The igneous extruder can make smoothstone

Yes it can at the cost of Lava.

Still doesn't explain the other machines

Most of them just look better (in my eyes).

Quarries, due to the recipe you changed too

Yeah, automatically Mining a whole Landscape is something you must do at really early stages of the Game...

May have been a misunderstanding of what you did to King_Lemming, my bad

What have I done to him? Last time I mentioned Bugs, he wasnt upset or something.

Only very special people should have them. Donators are not IMO

Special people have special Capes. The Donators just get a regular Cape.

Can you add config option for craft Sandstone from Sand in IC2 Compressor? Because ThermalExpansion can produce 2 Sand from 1 Sandstone.

And you can produce Sand out of Cobble => Infinite, even without Cobblegen.

    RichardG:
Many Players hate it, but an equally large amount loves it. I just add craptons of possibilities, including the rejected Suggestions.

Electric Block Breaker is not only for getting less FPS-Issues. It can also create Smoothstone and makes Obsidian out of Redstone.

My "Allocators" (I know that old Mod, it was the first one I ever had) are much better Versions of Machines, which other Mods have. Some of them are even better, than their Redpower-Counterpart (Okay its only the Advanced Buffer, but that counts too).

Also you dont need to go to the Nether before getting Mining Drill. I have a Netherfree electric Version of the Blast Furnace, which is needed to get the High-Tech-Materials. And do you really use the Drill? I thought you are all about enchanting Tools/Armors.

Which other Modauthor (except you, as you are the Guy, who always trolls Direwolf) has been "trashtalked" by me?

And whats so bad about giving Capes to Donators? Its not like I prevent normal Capes from being shown.

It appears that the standalone planner still generates links with the "-G" in them thus they won't work anymore.

Those Links are being accepted by the Offline Planner, just to mention. Its always better to use the Offline Version. That saves Internet. We dont have much Internet on this Planet, so its friggin expensive these Days.

List of Thorium Nuclear Reactor Designs

    • Greg's Idiotproof Reactor Design, improved (not by me!). Mk.1-E7, 0 chamber (1 Quad-Cell). Mk.1-E7 2-chamber (2 Quad-Cell). Mk.1-E7 4-chamber (3 Quad-Cells). Mk.1-E7 6-chamber (4 Quad-Cell).
    • Based off HAYO CORP.'s "The Efficient". Version A (4 chamber) (Eff 6.80; With 3 extra slots to cool exhausted components.) Version B (Exactly same as A but without cooling slots.), Version C (5 chamber) (Efficiency 7, 5-chamber; Has slots to cool exhausted components too. Slots indicated by standard plating cools 8 heat/s, heat plating cools 4 heat/s, containment plating slots cool 12 heat/s.) and Version D (Copy of version C without plating).
    • HAYO CORP's DDoS/CSCR, GregTech style. Version A (Thorium/360K, requires refresh of 360K's every 5600 seconds (~93.5 minutes)) and Version B (Plutonium/360K, requires refresh of 360K's every 500 seconds).
    • SSD's designs, posted at Rick's thread. Click me .

That you people threat Iridium Reflectors as like they are infinite. Lol.
    http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…9kc1kbnbvas5immmtaul93j0g
    4 Quad Cells + 8 Reflectors

I would run every Design through the Computer Cube, as I'm not sure if the Planner is calculating the Reactor right.

GregTech seems to conflict with NEI in this current situation I have. Firstly, causing an exception in the NEI Item Loading Thread which prevents any items from appearing on the list. Also, whenever I try to click on the GT Tab or Search in creative, it down right crashes the game.

The client log has been including as an attachment.

NEI does many crazy things. Question: Could it be that you use IDResolver? If yes, then I will fix that.
