There are different ways to do that. If you have redpower, just use it's timers. Picture 3 has an example schematics. Timer of the left is "long" one (58 seconds in our example), timer on the right is "short" (2 seconds).

Do never use RP-Timers for something critical like Reactortiming! It will explode right after Chunkload!!!

Thingie on the far right is just a "or" gate that can be replaced with one redstone wire. It is needed because redpower wire does not go "into" blocks. I learned it hard way - it was only time reactor blew in my face without me intending it:(

RP-Wires are Sources of second-degree Redstone for anything around them, and additionally in case of uninsulated Redwire, also Sources of first-degree Redstone to the Block, where they sit upon. And RP-Logicgates are sources of first-degree Redstone to all the Outputsides.

Or you can make timer from just Industrialcraft compenents. And it will look very cool.

Thank you for giving me the Idea to use IC²-Electricity for Logic. That Batboxthingy of your other Tutorial, is the first small and relyable Timer i ever saw. And the only other relyable Timer is the RP-Computer (which is expensive and complex).

I'm sorry, I'm not very familiar with tubestuff, what exactly does a retrievulator do?

    http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1001131-…ibiss-mods-smp/

Now a slightly modified Version from there:

    Retrievulator

The side with the bigger hole is the input. It should be touching the output side of a retriever from RedPower. If it's touching any other block, or nothing, it won't do anything. The side with the smaller hole is the output. It should be touching any inventory, such as a chest or Automatic-Craftingtable-Mk-II.

The inventory has three areas - the "R" (retriever) area, the "T" (target) area, and that single lonely slot on the right that you won't need to touch (items go here temporarily on their way to the output inventory)
The T area should contain the items you want to keep in the output inventory.
The R area should contain at least one of each item in the T grid, and should match its layout.

The retrievulator will move items between the R grid and the retriever, and apply redstone pulses to the retreiver, to keep the inventory stocked with the specified items. If the inventory already contains the correct items, it will spawn a "retriever jammer", which has no other uses, and place it the retriever to stop it from accepting any more items.

The T area uses Holoslots, similar to Logistics Pipes. You can set it to request up to 127 of an item, even non-stackable items. Right click to add items, and left click to subtract items. Hold shift to add/remove 10 items at a time.

Retrievulators are using a first-degree Redstonesignal to pulse the Retriever, so dont place them close to other Redstonecontraptions.

And Immibis if you read that: A second-degree Redstonesignal would be enough.

Watch out, we got a Tinpincher over there.

Tin is from VERY LOW Value, because its ONLY used for Containers (like Cells, Batteries, Fuelcans, Foodcans or the Canningmachines), Bronze and Tincables.

And if you have RP or BC installed, then you dont even need Tincells to fill geothermal Generators.

    Framequarry?
Please, IC miners are much more efficient :) They skip the useless cobble and mine straight for the valuables.

I made a Framequarry, because its producing so much Cobble (less laggy, than a huge Cobblegen), and it doesnt need much maintenace (It would need nearly no maintenance with Enderchests). Of course i didnt use the IC²-Miners, because of the many Bugreports about them (now its fixed)

Anyway, ever since I have used frameminers I just cannot go back to quarries, they just seem so time/energy inneficient to me.

And my Framequarry doesnt even need additional Energy (its high enough to use Solar), and if i wouldn't have used Ironcovers/panels, then it would've been very cheap. But i built it Lategame, so i didnt have to use IC²-Miners for Resourcegathering (Arcane Bore + Mystcraft-Heavy-Resources-World = Profit!).

The autoprocessor could have used EU-detector cables to detect when a machine has work to do. (Or regulators when advanced machines)
That could auto-pulse the retriever, starting the chainreaction.
24eu/t seems a bit low, unless you have this high buffer. Couldn't see.

Currently 32 EU/t. And i have now an MFSU + 3 Electrolyzer for that. Also the Retriever additionally retrieves Stuff from the Thaumaturgysection and from the Alloyfurnace, so Energyconsumption and Regulators are not a Detectionoption. But my new Factory produces so much Stuff, that a 30sec-Timer to pulse the Retriever is enough. And i should mention, that the Factory works nonstop (because of my Wisptrap at least the Recyclers, and so also the Massfabricator and the new automated Scrapboxdispenser)

Something that I find very useful is a button to flush my project tables.

Well, my Projecttables are getting semiautomatically refilled, so that would be Contraproductive. But i will make Projecttables with Retrievulators as soon as my new Storage is built. I made the Tubeconnected things in my Tower modular, so that i can replace older Machines without Problems. I already moved my Factory to the Ironscaffoldsection, because Ironscaffolds look awesome (and also made a seperate Autocraftingsection and a new Sortingsection, to get more space inside my Workshop)

I already have Flushbuttons for the Storage of my Framequarry and for the Overflowchest.

Good work though, I hope you can put some of my points in consideration for Gregtower2.

This gave me indeed a few Ideas for the Tower.

How do you make a system with RP2 only that can mimic/do better than the functionality of the Request pipe from the Logistics Pipe BC3 add on?

RP-Computer + Tons of Bundled Wiring + Retrievers + Itemdetectors (to check if it got Retrieved) or Regulators (to check if it's in the Chests, but only if all is sorted) + Transposer as Output. But thats probably something i build into the GregTower3 (in 1.3.2 or 1.4), or when i'm bored enough, until the Modupdates happen.

@Retrievulators: The Sequencial Mode of the Retriever is enough, but the Retrievulator will may be added soon to my Base.

    WTF is this shit?

Seriously, did you ever heard of LAYOUT??? I dont have to study Mediainformatics, to know that this is bad Designed. If you count things, then please press the Return-key before coming with the next Point and those Letters are too damn huge. And if you say "Sorry for the big red Text", then i want to see a frikkin' big "RED" Text.

And before i forget: You do NOT get permission to use any of my Mods/Addons, because of that crappy Post.

Sorry, if that was too much flame, but your Thread is just bad.

Edit: AND DONT TELL YOUR REAL LOCATION!

    Display Spoiler

Location: North Haverhill Road, Kensington, New Hampshire, 03833

You might have accidently placed a Chunkloader next to the Reactor, so that the Chunk is still loaded.

As far as i know the following things are Chunkloaders without being specialized for that:
    Thaumcraftteleportseals
    Portalspawners form Portalgun (probably)
Blockupdaters, but only if it really changes the Block every second (could theoretically be your evaporating Water, but then it wouldnt do that on Worldload)

I could see that ending badly, most people seem to wire power from a direction other than the default. This is good because what happens in an MFE is to turn around due to this glitch and blow up a set of low voltage machines?

Its ONLY graphically (because the TileEntity is not loaded, while determining the Texturefacings). So there is no Problem of this kind.

Ok, i pesonally denie this. Just inverting it would be wrong, but you could use redpower to save space^^

At least, a redstone behavior button like on batboxes (etc) wouldnt be a bad idea and not this hard to do (i think ...).

I for myself, would just scrap the Redstonebehaviour of the Massfab, because its useless and prevents me from using Regulators adjacent to them. And if you want to turn it OFF, then you could just use a Splittercable.
