Well, nope there is no way. You have to disable RP- and Forestry- Oregeneration, otherwise its not possible. As far as i know IC² generates the largest amount of both Ores and it also has a UUM-Recipe, which i for myself dont want to mess up (i know that it produces the Dusts instead if IC²-Ore is disabled), so keep the IC²-Ores in that case.
And IC²-Ores are the only Ores, which are compatible with the most Oredistribution-Mods, due to not using Metadata.
And you don't see many modders modding the mods of other modders (Yo dawg) do you?
Uhhm, i have actually a discoussion with someone, who tries to modify a small Part of IC². Your Argument is invalid.
He has only Problems at decompiling and recompiling IC², but he has only to modify one or two Classes, which are not part of the E-net, so it could be hack-compiled.
Any modder can change whatever they want, forgedev or not.
But modifying Forge, is like modifying the Mojangcode Globally, so that it is usable on every other (Forge-) Mod.
And before i forget: I only said that its possible, even if i think, that modifying Pistons for that is not needed?

And Tin is very abundant in the World. I dont even know what to do with it, since my old Tower in 1.2.3 (IC², BC, RP) was consisting out of Tinblocks.

You have actually to constantly run between your Machines, because your Cell is not stackable. Imagine you need to stand next to your Canningmachine the whole time and you cant automate such a Process. I already hate it, when i have to run, while making Coolantcells, because they are not Stackable.

You can't really make Superfuel in a bucket, can you? I'm pretty sure you need Tin Cells, unless I'm mistaken.

More like an unstackle, superexpensive, electric Tin Cell.
Uhhm, the Point of a Tincell is, that you can stack it. So it's still a Bucket.
And if you want to produce Snowballs without wasting Cells, then place a Pump above an infinite Watersource, next to your Compressor. And for Lava and Geothermal, you can look how it works in my Tutorial (if you have Redpower installed), the Link to it is in my Signature.

Hello all. Here's my suggestion for an addition to IC2.Nanotech Autoassemble / Disassemble Industrial Cell Technology (NADICT).
The NADICT is, in simplest terms, a reusable Cell. It would be constructed out of Carbon and Iridium plates, and could be used in all processes that regular Tin Cells would be used for. Unfortunately, due malleable nature of the NADICT, it would be ill advised to stack multiples together. This would confuse the nanobots which perform the core function of the NADICT, and you would end up with a large pile of very expensive slag. To prevent user error, the NADICT also includes Quantum Repulsor technology which activates when two NADICTs come into close proximity, and causes the NADICTs to repel each other. This makes the NADICT effectively unstackable.
As an additional cost (to maintain matter / energy conversion equations), a slight percentage increase in power is required to use a NADICT in a processing machine. The nanobots which the NADICT are composed of require a small amount of energy to perform their functions, this translates as a small percentage increase in energy usage for every time the NADICT is used. The faster the operation of the machine, the more extra power is required for the NADICT. The NADICT cannot be used to directly pick up a liquid (water / lava) unless a Batpack or Lappack is worn to power the NADICT. A NADICT would only require energy to transform between its empty and filled forms.

Its not possible to make that, due to the Tact, that a simple Torch/Door/Redstonedust can prevent it from being placed.
I cant think of a really Lagfree way to implement Radiation. The Lagfreeest Idea i have is permanently (every 2 secs) checking all Mobs/Players around a Reactor and then, depending on if the Distance to it is shorter, than lets say 50 Meters, make one Explosionray-like Radiationray and shoot it into the Direction of the Mob/Player. Then the Ray checks the Radiationresistence of the Blocks (Like Explosionresistance) and decreases the Radiationdamage against the Player.
I have once implemented Radiation in the 2D-Game "Clonk", and it wasnt so much lagging (even if every Pixel there is only 10x10cm² large).
Most mod developers frown upon altering vainilla stuff, so no.
You may forgot that Eloraam is one of the Forgedevs, so she can change whatever she want.
this feature can't be in IC2 right now cause piston can't move tile entities, and the only people that can fix that is mojang. hence its mojangs fault

Well, one could make arguments against Ice and Bucket cooled reactors but the rest are quite green in IC2 terms.

IC²-Pumps can accept Lavasourceblocks from RP-Grates. Didnt you know that? Its on my Tutorial. Also there is a 32-Geothermal-Setup in the Worlddownload on the Screenshotsection.

Yes, a high Growth stat grants "Weed"-Attributes to any sort of plant, causing them to spread Weed to nearby empty/different crops.
As well, Weed will upon creation inherit it's Growth stats from nearby plants and thus grow and spread faster if high-growth plants are nearby.
Take note, crops capable ofproducing Weed are immune against Weed by default.
