I would like it very much and think it would be totally awesome if the reactors would work in a more realistic way and are made out of multiple blocks. Like with a boiling room and then steam pipes and a turbine room etc. etc. It would probably be very hard to code (although so is the eu system and I think Alblaka and his crew can do it). Especially the nuclear reactor shoulld be more realistic, there's a reason those power plants are frikkin HUGE. Also it would be nice if the solar panels, windmills and watermills had a special model, it'd make them look way better!

Sorry, but not worked out Suggestions, and any changes to the Nuclearreactor, are already denied. Nuclearreactors will not be changed, because its already hard to understand for the most people and this would make that even more complicated, so even if i agree with these changes (i like complexity), i dont see your Suggestions added in near future.
Here is the idea I had for a while. Different (?) wiring model. Main advantage of this is that it uses by far less CPU time, virtually zero. Also, it is somewhat more realistic and easy to understand.
All wires, connected to each other, form a single "circuit". Circuit works as a single entity, no calculations per wire is needed until some wire is added or removed to circuit.
That awkward moment, when this Circuitbased model is already mostly implemented like that.
The Lag of these cables comes from the Graphicscard, not from the CPU, i found that out after playing around with Solarpanels (On top of the World), which were massively Lagging even if they werent connected to anything, that can accept Power.
The only real change, you suggest, is that its no longer Packetbased.

Actually the Bug is, if a Canningmachine has progress (like one Coalfuelcell + only 4 Gunpowder), it will not be saved after chunkreload, and the progress is lost in SSP and SMP.
Sorry, the only mods I use are IC2 and Redpower (So, I don't know many others), but your criteria works much better.
I use RP, IC², RC (only because of Chunkloaders), CC (going to drop CC with the ModAPI-Update, which will be MC 1.4) and MystCraft on my local Server.

Not that hard, just an invisible Skin, invisible Armoroverlay, invisible Hotbaritem and invisible Playernametag, and all that is not implemented in Forge.
PSA: What is really delaying the release is FML. We have found using world ticks as a potential fix for the energynet bug, but FML only provides the ModLoader interface right now, which only provides render ticks. We're waiting on cpw to take off the final from the tick callback so we can override it.
I found Computercraft + Splittercable as a fix for that Bug, its working great if you have a Chunkloaddetector and a Splittercable.
I 100% agree with Greg and Fenix on this issue. Technic/Tekkit has it's own forum, and things should be discussed there. Also, any other "Modpacks" should also be banned, unless they are designed for use on that server and include IC2 as a major part. So, IC2, Redpower and Tubestuff is fine, but Technic, (Again, because it has it's OWN forum and has many mods) shouldn't be allowed. The same logic could also apply to a server running: Portal Gun, SDK's Mods, Buildcraft, Redpower, Equivalent Exchange, Recipe Book, Shelves, Armor Stand, a custom world generator, and oh, yeah, IC2 as well.
Whats so bad about a custom Worldgenerator, Shelfes or an Armorstand? These are just minor Tweaks, to make the Server a bit diffrent/nicer looking from other ones.
Mods are like Symbols in a Mystcraftbook, if you have too many of them, then they will lead into "corruption", like EE-abuse or other massive Disbalancement, and that destroys the Fun and therefor the Quality of a Server.
Oh and if you combine any Mod with Redpower, then its already not the major mod (especially when its fully released), but fact is, IC² is the only reason for automation, without it you would just autosmelt everything and that is.
So we should make a Rule against Servers with too many Mods, an example for these rules could be:

3 other Mainmods (RP, BC, EE, Portalgun and Thaumcraft (when it updates to the Mod-API-Version of MC) are Mainmods for example) ~Tekkit will fail right here~
a few usefull Addons to these 3 Mods (like NuclearControl, Tubestuff or LogisticPipes) ~also definetly here~
1 Terrainmodifiing Mod (Mystcraft or BetterVeigns for example)
Simple DecorationMods (Shelfes or Armorstand, but no massive overhauls, because then you can use RP-Microblocks for that)
No must for ClientsideOnly Mods to join a Server (The TekkitLauncher makes it impossible to remove ConvenientInventory for example) ~and especially here~

Since i got my Elementalcutter, i have no Wooden Houses anymore. I have 3 times accidently destructed my wooden Hut, while slicing Wisps and thaumic Slimes, with spamming Right- and Leftclick (i call it Chop-Sui-Technique).
But now i have to get my Wand of Equal Trade (Potency 5 + Self Repair) to harvest a bit Netherrack, by replacing it with my Cobblesurplus, so that i get a Ghastproof Nether and Netherrack at once.

On a Single-playerworld i tried to fill a fuel-can with three biofuelcells this worked, I was going to fill the rest with gunpowder,
but as I relogged the progress on the fuel-can was lost, also the three biofuelcells were lost too.

I dont want their Servers out here, I want them making their Servers in their own Forum, where they belong, since there is a Technicpackforum for this sake.
