    Name: brain machine

Description: think of it as an enchant yourself machine. the brain machine is a hightech way to turn your experience points into mad skillz. boiled down here is how it works [brain machine]+[you with an undetermined number of experience points standing under it]+[an undetermined amount of EU]= you gaining mad skillz and abilities like but not limited to...
    1. multiple levels of kung-fu skill (you do more damage than usual with you bare hands)
    2. organization skill (your inventory gets bigger)
    3. proper athletic form (run slightly faster, jump 1/2 block higher, hold your breath for a little longer)
    4. macgyver (some recipes get cheaper, and new recipes open up to you)
    5. how to swim (move through water faster and hold your breath for longer)
    6. the ability to fly (see "the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, life the universe and everything" for RL instructions. super expensive skill (like ender dragon level experience))

    recipe:?

say HAYO! if you like this followed by your brutally honest criticism

P.S. almost forgot your skillz are lost when you die

I like it. I always felt glass-fiber should be used as data transfer, not power conduction, and this is as good a use for it as any. If this was implemented (slight tangent here), maybe we could have gold cables take over as the low-resistance HV cable, and add a bronze cable to replace gold for MV?

As for the handwaving, the atoms aren't travelling along the cable at all - just all the information about them that the receiving teleporter will use to recombobulate you. Maybe even translate distance eu-loss to this? Instead of losing an eu every 40 blocks, lose half a heart, and/or x% durability/charge loss on damage-able items?

copper actually has less resistance than gold IRL golds noncorrosive qualities make it ideal for connectors so the ic implementation is accurate. i don't like durability or health loss with cable teleporting. here is another way to think about it all the cable is doing is allowing the teleporters to match frequency(like a freqtrans) so along that train of thought any cable would do(even tin) and the teleporter doesn't even need to be connected at the time it will just send you to the last pad it linked frequencies with via cable

Update! As far as I can tell, the hard drive itself is intact and just the SATA enclosure was damaged. I've ordered a new one and should be able to upload the mod when it arrives. (Interesting side note, while looking for my DMM to test the circuitry I discovered my roommate was growing cannabis plants in the kitchen cabinet. No wonder our electricity bills are so bad!)

yeash just one thing after another huh?

well since your back to implement this new rule you can update the rejected idea thread :D also after thinking about i have decided that i'm going to go forward with reposting by accidentally rule infringing threads in less than 3 days if i don't here back about recovering them(or the lack there of) everyone who has an issue with that has till like Saturday to tell me not to

    welcome to the forums :)
assuming you don't get banned for this thread (unlikely but you never know when/if alblaka may snap)
this is what we call a repeat suggestion these are generally frowned upon here in what seems to be a progressively severer manner unless it is very well thought out and even then you still get people trolling you about it.
in the future please read ALL THE STICKIES before posting in any of the sub-forums and run a search for similar threads already in existence if you didn't do this any thread you start may get locked and kicked to the archives within 24 hours

How about a reactor that, when activated by inputting a stack of 64 diamond blocks, will generate 1 EU and fire 8,000 individual lasers at the head of whoever activated the generator. Finally, it will delete the map, uninstall Minecraft, and delete your system32. And that's playing on Peaceful. GG, most destructive generator ever.

why are we still talking about this?

@ the above 2 comments: this is not an enchanting table its not meant to be an industrial version of it aside from borrowing the success boost from nearby blocks mechanic, and an enchanting table gives you a random out put as well so stop loving the vanilla enchanting table and hating the random mechanic of this at the same time.

now to try and do a better job explaining the idea:
this would not be like tf2 the is no pre-made designs that just pop out with balanced buffs and weaknesses its possible and just as likely to give you some thing that is all around better as it is to get something that is all around worse with possible special effects and requirements sprinkled in.

its crafting table where steve is trying to tinker out a prototype and find something new. none of the designs are mass production worthy. its not meant to compete with nano tech and[start mini-rant] I'm beginning to get tried of this "i want to see this idea go down in flames cause i want to see a different one implemented" type arguments on these forums. please try some more constructive criticism. [end mini-rant]

in the end this is a a suggestion about inventing that is the essence this idea is trying to capture so try to keep your tweaks along that line if it doesn't keep this small detail it might as well be a totally different suggestion
