What's is an example of a "proper setup"? Any links/suggestions?

First I need infinite cobblestone I guess, or any other item, and I'm not even sure how to go about getting that.

Yeah I've been making scrap from cobblestone mined from my advanced miner but it's taking forever. Surely there must be a better way? And by forever I mean countless hours and hours and hours

I'm trying to replicate enough iridium to get quantum armor by just using my advanced miner to mine cobblestone but jeez this is unbelievably slow. I don't know what to do. It takes me an hour or two just to get ONE iridium shard.

I don't want to do anything super advanced that would take enormous amounts of hours to make, but is there any option? I don't know anymore.

Its just the .jar files that need to be replaced in the mods folder right? Nothing else?

last question actually: does my friend on the server have to update the jar thing too or can I just do it on my end? He's out of town until a few days so yeah 😙

What are the steps to update?

I'm on a private server with my friend. If I update will I lose all my machines? Will the server still work? Does he have to update too?

Is there any way I can fix it without updating? The issue is that I'm on a private server with my friend so I'm not sure what updating will do. Will I lose all my stuff? Will the server not work if I update? Idk

Oh and I've tried just about every item from cobblestone to diamond so its something else that's the problem. I just don't get it....

Hey guys, my scanner won't work even when I put it RIGHT NEXT to a pattern storage device and charge it to full power with my MFSU. It just says "idle" and won't let me even put any items at all into it. I don't know what the problem is, but I can't begin replicating my iridium at all so this kind of sucks.

Minecraft version 1.11.2 and industrial craft 2.7.9 by the way!

Hey everyone, my scanner won't work for some reason. All it says is "idol" when hooked up to an MFSU and charged to full power. It won't let me put an item in to be scanned and I've tried everything from cobblestone to diamond. It is right next to pattern storage and I have put the pattern storage into all different sides of it. I've also tried putting a memory crystal thingy into it and even when that's in it still says "idol" and won't accept ANY items to be scanned at all. I don't know what the problem is. Thanks.

Also I'm using version 1.11.2 of minecraft if that even matters at all. And industrial craft 2 mod with forge. So yeah.
