The only thing I'm really pissed off about is chrome, it's such an arseache to get, it's ridiculous. I think Greg should add another way of obtaining chrome.
Sphalerite ore and an Industrial Grinder, it takes a crapload of garnet, but you can get 2 chrome dust from 448 Sphalerite ore... Upon further inspection, that's actually quite a lot.
you already had to, to get the mining laser it requires end stone dust.
You could do it with glowstone, and I don't have a mining laser yet. 
Multicraft? Sorry I haven't heard of it before, I can't guarantee that my earlier instructions work, although for now they seem to be working.
Hey, i started a new server and near the spawn point is a big plains biome (i play with large biomes) but i can't find any bauxide.
Im usin the latest forge version, ic2 1.109, compact solars 3.1.2.17 and tf2 teleporters 1.4.5a.
I tried the same level seed in ssp with the same result. In the config files all worldgen options are true.The only thing i found in the console was this: "CONFLICT @ -17 item slot already occupied by ic2.common.ItemBlockrare..." but only there and not in any log file.
Am i doing something wrong?
Did you delete the original world? Mod ores don't spawn in the chunks that are initially loaded when Forge is loaded.
[Question]: Since vanilla minecraft 1.4 added two new crops (carrots and potatoes) , will there be an update to the system in order to include these two new plants?

I put the industrial craft 2 Jar file in the mods folder that forge created.
Are you sure that your versions of Minecraft and IC2 match? If so, can you post the error log that should be titled ForgeModLoader-0 or something similar?
Did you remember to put crop sticks on crop sticks to tell to adjacent plants that they should crossbreed? If you did, can you post pictures of your setup?

You're right, the first (and only) iridium I have found so far was at around height level 85

How are you installing it? Are you putting IC2 in the mods folder?
I wanted to ask because between my experiences in playing with GT (through Feed The Beast) and reading the IC2 wiki page about the GT addon, I'm quite confused. Are the Sphalerite and Cinnibar ores in the nether, or are they deactivated by default?
Yes they are in the Nether, but FTB uses version 2.03b (pretty outdated) and in that version I don't think Sphalerite or Cinnibar were added in yet.

GregTech: awesome mod attempted compatibility, XyCraft: I'm assuming it will be an awesome mod, did not want compatibility as of yet, and that's that, nothing more needs to be said.

Yeah, while it's semi-unnecessary to do it my way for the server, I think it is easier to instruct people to do the same thing for if they were to mod their clients with the same mods.
Personally I dont care how popular or unpopular my mod is and I'd be glad to work with you, but dont start rumors where I care about popularity. Come on IRC and chat sometime and you'll see I really care about my mod. I just dont like people touching my stuff where Im trying to have my own fun and do so without people interfering. I think it was more for shock value based on semi-false information. The config file did allow XyCraft and GregTech interaction, even though nobody had the password, Soaryn did not know that. Therefore I think it is understandable that he would want what he had stated previously to be done, so he saw a way to do that by getting Greg's attention through a thread lock. What's a bigger attention getter than finding your mod's thread locked? I didn't even know that nobody had the password, so I think it was just a mis-communication between modders as to if Soaryn's request had been acted upon.

Already reported, and fixed
1. Download the latest version of Forge Universal, put it in your Minecraft_Server.jar.
EDIT: 1a. Do not delete META-INF
2. Run your server.
3. When your server has finished initializing, close it.
4. Put IC2 v1.109 in the mods folder.
5. Delete your world save (not necessary, but it helps with creating ores).
6. Run your server.
Yeah, I think that was the main reason that that mod was killed. If he had asked Elo's permission and used reflection (I think that's what it's called), I think she'd be okay with it, however I could be wrong.
Yeah, reflection's a powerful tool, but I thought the reason that Eloraam didn't want it was for it interfering with her future blutricity plans rather than its use of her code.
I hope FTB updates soon, they are still in 2.03b and a lot of GregTech complaints on their forums stem from the fact that the mod back then didn't have as much cool stuff like Grinders, Electrolyzers, Blast Furnaces, Jack Hammers, and much more that it has now. plus capes are nice
