Honestly, I LOVE the low-power shot. It's great for one thing: REDSTONE. Even with a mining drill redstone takes an annoying amount of time to mine, but the laser is instant harvest. Though it makes me sad to hear that the block loss is intentional, because that makes this significantly less useful of a tool, now I'm scared to use it in the diamond layers for fear of losing diamonds.

try this error test and post the result when it´s crashed

pump will fill cells when it fixed.

I'm sure that'll be lovely, but I like to keep a stack on me so that when I run into the underground lava lakes I can drain the lava out and get at whatever goodies were in the wall. It's timeconsuming and tedious now, but if we could fill them by just rightclicking, it'd be a breeze. Wouldn't be IMBA IMO because you are still using up the tin, and the lava cells themselves are still not openable or reusable, it just takes the tedious bucket step out (which doesnt make sense really, since if you can scoop it with a bucket and fill the cell, then you could scoop it with the cell).

Just like the title says. After the third time tonight that I had a momentary brain lapse and forgot to pull my 64 stack of empty cells out of the inventory craft section while gathering lava, thereby chunking a good bit of tin into the fryer, I got a little bit frustrated. Any chance we could make it where rightclicking with a cell stack in hand would fill 1 of the cells, similar to a bucket, then simply put the filled cell into the inventory? Mind you, I am NOT suggesting they be reusable... this would apply to only empty cells, no changes should be made to lava/water/bio cells. This would simply streamline gathering lava/water, making gathering those materials a bit less tedious and making the geothermal a bit more friendly for use.

Honestly, I find Risugami's "Recipe Book" mod to be EXCELLENT for this kind of thing.

I'm using it right now, it lets you craft a recipe book (1 book + 1 ink) that shows all possible creatable items, including Industrialcraft items. I knew about the mixup with the 8x coaldust + 1 bucket = 1 h.dust before I saw it on the forum, because the recipe book showed it.

You can download it off the same page you get ModLoader from.

Update about this (dunno if it'll help, but it's more info at least)

Was able to produce this same error on a freshly created drill. 100% charged RE battery used, so it created (presumably) a 100% charged drill. Used it on NOTHING but stone (Was quarrying some rock to expand my house with) and discharge it fully (no green on the bar). As said before, stone, coal, and copper (haven't tested it on anything else) are dug out at the normal speed for a charged drill, dirt is dug out at hand speed.

EDIT: Can also confirm uranium and iron as well. Also can confirm that gravel is not affected.

Second edit: VERY big problem found. If you hit an enemy with a drained drill, it WILL destroy the drill.

Exactly as the title says. Was trying to clear a forest region to build a house, found one tree out of the entire forest that would not light up. Used flint and steel directly on it, heard the starting sound, but no fire. Does not affect normal trees, only rubber trees. No log due to no crash.
