Looks like a timing gear. the large circular part pushes a lever out, then lets it fall back every revolution.

So i turned debug on while my server was running for a minute or two, and all i get is
"Something's taking too long! root.root.root.root.root.root.root...[ad infinum]....root.levels took aprox [####.###] ms"

any thoughts on what i am looking at?

I am aware of the water-loss from start/stopping the turbine...but i'm losing water at an alarming rate, with no visible leakage. I blame the seals used between blocks. perhaps someone could look into manufacturing better seals?

A leaky reactor, even on the secondary loop, sounds like a bad thing.

edit: 500mb an hour is a lot to leak while running non-stop

first full-scale pressure test of the turbine system. works like a dream.

edit: minor tuning: water needs to be forced down, not output to the first side, as this causes a feedback issue with water being retained between the turbines, effecting efficiency.

Yay, 2 milestones tonight:
-RTG powered rail system is now RTG-only power. full 6 rtg fuel in the generator
-Reactor overhauled: converted to super-heated steam turbine instead of sterling generators. (untested as of yet). 'Diesel' biofuel system tied in to prime system in addition to continuing service as backup power.

Finally got my server files back from an untrustworthy host. now i can update and actually play again.

So what is the current stop-block for mods advancing to newer versions? is it still the .json files?

UU matter isn't supposed to be this magic goop that can be turned into anything.

as for calculating UU cost of ores that naturally spawn, couldn't you derive that from the chance of spawning at world creation?

maybe set a few static values for certain things...like plants. you can still make it +-[rand amount] when the world is generated.
