So if a creeper touches a open wire do you get a Charged Creeper?
Uhm, no, thats what the weather Terriformer is for

Honestly, I find Risugami's "Recipe Book" mod to be EXCELLENT for this kind of thing.
I'm using it right now, it lets you craft a recipe book (1 book + 1 ink) that shows all possible creatable items, including Industrialcraft items. I knew about the mixup with the 8x coaldust + 1 bucket = 1 h.dust before I saw it on the forum, because the recipe book showed it.
You can download it off the same page you get ModLoader from.
I'm using it from now on, after seeing someone use it in a video.
Sadly, I was mostly joking, but this just made my day regardless. Yep, Iron wire makes sense, and It looks like each zap pulls a ton of fish out of the water, which makes a ton of *sense*
Its a totally non-practical, but regardless awesome solution to a problem.
Display MoreElectric treetap? Hell, let's throw in an electric flint and steel, an electric bow, an electric fishing rod, an electric hoe (sounds like a band.. Electric Hoe and the Redstone Wire Kids)...
...an electric jukebox, electric doors, electric fences, electric stairs...
...electric signposts, electric soup bowls (another good band name?), electric wool (from electric sheep, of course!)...
No, but seriously, I kid because I love. I think we should have an electric teetap too, now that you mention it.
They're basically free anyway, I'd pay the extra resources to get one I could just throw in the batbox when I was done with it.
Must control laughter... Must control Laughter....
AHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAAHHA
Failed again....
I have to note, having an electric fishing pole would be cool. It would simply be a teslacoil on a stick, and a gravitational field manipulator, so as to kill the fish and pull them out of the water towards you.
Considering that you can instantly halt a reactor with a rather simple redstone circit, and a button, you could make a preposterously efficient reactor (4.17 I think is cap) and run it for 1 second, which actually gives you an insane amount of power. If you automate it, you also tend to get a rather rediculouse amount of power over time, albiet in pulses, though if buffered, it is still better.
Don't forget rechargeable! Recharging tree taps would be really nice.
Uhm, If it is an electrical tree tap, that means it would be rechargeble, eh?
As for my opinion on the idea.
do want
Free download of IC2! Jk. thanks for supporting.
XD
It is not a bug, per se, but rather a missing feature from IC1,
I would assume that there are plans to allow you to use them to recharge, just consuming a battery to get 1k energy to an item, otherwise they would be kinda useless.
*cough* pistons *cough*
*cough* tile entities *cough*
No offence dude, but that doesn't make any sense at all. Lightning strikes are extremely rare. Getting shocked by a cable is extremely easy (build batbox -> build generator -> be overpowered in uber armour meganess).
It just doesn't work from a design perspective. Not to mention the fact that it is supposed to be a NEGATIVE factor to make you think about your wiring.. Not a buff.
What you clearly failed to realize is that he was talking about the GRAPHICAL part of the power armor, not the protection, or whatever else you think it does. He means, you would have a clearly visible aura around you, probably as well as a zapping noise, rather than merely getting an "ough, ough" noise.
back In Ic1, the Terraformer did not have a way to modify the range. I think it ought to in Ic2, but I do not know how it would be possible.
Actually,I was looking for a gadget list too,but like the one on the old IC thread, the one with the HAYO madness.I followed IC since 1.4,so I know everything else by heart.I tried getting info from the wiki, but it isn't too helpful.
Oh god, I want that list back, it was so epic.
Personally, I would note that the Scrap system really doesn't seem right to me, as a bigger issue than being able to get coal dust.
I will have to think of a *better* system, and post an elaborate suggestion on it.
I prefered the old idea of 8x Charcoal dust = coal dust.
I would mainly claim that this is the wrong forum, and that you ought to do a search.
Better yet, I will even give you a link to the relative thread.

Instead of just premade designs. why not a way to save/load designs.. so a repository of designs cand be kept.. and people can submit or download designs.
This way it's user choice, and for those willing to do so they can create tutorial designs for people to download.
Well, assuming you had save/load support, It would be quite easy to include some save files, which ARE the premade designs. They are actual save files, rather than, say, buttons you can press to load the designs (although technically you would load them with buttons anyway..)
I like to make auto fillers.
That would be quite nice, although ofc its kinda hard to bypass water if you try to grab it, due to how it refills.
Treetap
wiki is ultimate source of recipes...
Certainly, Except that the wiki is still being updated....
