Concerning World gen, it depends on the specific piece. I know randomly generated structures, Aura nodes, Taint, and some flowing liquids cause severe FPS issues (considering as the most RAM I can dedicate on mine is 1GB (thankyou 32-bit OS...:( ). The other big issue is mobs so I'd watch the amount of mob adding mods you add into this pack. I know IC2 and GT don't add in a lot of these things but it helps when considering other mods.
If I recall correctly, I think Alblaka walked away to pursue writing... I think...

Trust me when I say that deciphering the Jenkins changelog is a pain. One of the reasons I've been quiet over there lately was because I was working on one by downloading each version and working on the changes... unfortunately what I had was lost because I had to restore back to factory settings and the file didn't properly transfer...
@above. It would be a interesting recipe but I think the bigger issue is the fact that you need Cactus to make the stuff. Most pipe waterproofing is some sort rubber to my knowledge so I would be fine if the recipe was just a pipe and maybe 2 pieces of IC2 rubber or 1 pipe waterproof (cactus) depending on the mod list.
