Eff: 1 - waste of Uranium. This reactor is Fail.

Even this one is better, and it took me 20sec to make, and its pretty bad. But over twice as good and half as big as yours.

Being a Mark II, it doesnt "overheat", but it does generate some none the less, and at 2.6 its not that effective, you should check out the other posts, they are some pretty cheap and very effective reactor designs out there
Nice little tutorials, thanks!
I dont see anything...

Im a 27 year old guy from denmark, been playing IC2 (along with Buildcraft, RedPower and so on) in SSP for a while, would love to do so in SMP as well. I have not been banned from any other servers, and been a Moderator on the largest Danish minecraft server for half a year now, if that counts for anything

Did someone invite you to join our server? If so who(In Game Name)?

Trying to get a reactor with as high Eff as possible without blowing up the moment i turn it on.
Basically i just want to fill a large stock of MFS units and let me run on battery while It cools down, And/or make multiple reactors.
This one ran to 4000 ticks before reaching 9000 degrees.

I would much rather have a Mark II with an Efficiency of 3, that I dont need to watch to prevent it from removing the bottom part of my house. See Yogscast Technic Pack part 5 for hints...
Kinda nice to see the Yogscast reactor blow up, that'll teach them to have an almost unshielded Mark III in their basement, running all the time...
Desuman!
I chanllenge you to make this design:http://test.vendaria.net/index…HCCHHCCCCCCXCHHCCCHCCCHCC
a Mark I (0 heat)
It shows at +5 Heat/t for me...
3 Cooling Cells melt at around 900 ticks, and then it goes even faster afterwards... Unless you want to keep on replacing Cooling Cells constant, this isnt a good Reactor at all... Go for a Mark II instead.
Is the wire to the MSFU going into its Output side?...
Switched the lights around perhaps?, note that the blue light is infront of the 'generation' timer and the red light is infront of the 'cooldown' timer.
Figured it out, I was using the back-wire to hook up my reactors - that messed up the whole system Very neat design, in any case, I just had to use it correctly
This is brilliant, thank you for this design! Currently being implemented (only 2 reactors for now, but my Quarry is working hard to supply me with materials works fine having it run half cycles (clicking the timers to 10000s takes a while...), then cooling and restarting.
EDIT: Erm, messed something up, while off, the blue light is on, and its cooling, but when I start it, and the red light comes on, it keeps cooling, then when the blue does, it starts running trying to figure out what I did wrong...
That reactor is a pretty solid and effective one, you can always use Talonius' http://forum.industrial-craft.…page=Thread&threadID=1211 RedPower clock, to set a uptime and cooldown period closer to that of the reactor's capacity.
Uranium Cells last for 10'000 sec, or 2 Hours, 46 Min and 20 Sec.
Used Uranium Cells will sometimes become Near-Depleted Cells, but these will only generate 1 heat and no energy, so your reactor will not melt down, once your Uranium Cells are spend.
Im not sure this is the kind of screenshot, that should be posted here.
That said, Im sure you could do better.
Well, over time you'll get better and better with it all. After a while I think it can get hard to not accidentally do the same design as someone else at this point... but hey, I won't mind if you try using my designs as a base to make something better, or to learn off of.
Cheers Yogcast introduced me to IC2 (And Buildcraft, Too Many Wolves, etc etc) a week ago, and been messing with it ever since, have hardly been on my regular server, since SP is just soo much more fun now.
And what about this design:
http://test.vendaria.net/index…HHHCCCCHCHCHHCHCHCCHCHCHC
Is better than the first one?
Mark II, able to run 4-5ish Cycles without melting a hole on your floor? That's not bad, a bit more effective than the one I linked, at 2.5, you'll get a cool 10 million per cycle out of this one If you dont mind the heat, this is not a bad reactor.
Im trying to figure out a good setup for a reactor with a 50% uptime, and then just hook it up to a redstone clock... no dice yet, though.
Yes, i would much prefer it to be four chambers, as right now I don't have the mats to make more reactors...
How about this, 4 Chambers, but twice as effective as the other one, at 2.33 - only uses 3 Uranium Cells, versus 6 for the other one.

Does "only" generate 35 EU/t - but consider the fact that it uses half the Uranium and you only lose 30% of the EU output! And its Mark I, so keep this baby supplied with Uranium and it will keep on givin you sweet EU, baby!
