So after a few hours of pardon my french I have finally found out how to scan things in the scanner, store them in the pattern storage, which is next to my replicator, but they don't show up in the replicator.
tl/dr: Patterns are stored in pattern storage. Pattern storage next to Replicator. No patterns in replicator.
Please halp.

Oh, terribly sorry! 2.0.354 I've tried moving the pattern storage around to see if what side it's on has anything to say, but I still have the same problem. I have iridium stored in the pattern storage.

Not particularly helpful while playing 1.6.4
It can't be fixed now, unfortunately, due to extreme code changes between 1.6 and 1.7 and the developers losing their buildscript.
