    reactor setup: http://test.vendaria.net/index.php?reac…HCHHCCHCCCHCCCH
    EU/t: 60
    Efficiency: 3
    Heat: +32

It can run a full cycle without burning everything up. Ends the cycle with ~6500 heat built up so it'll take a few minutes to cool down.
This is perfect for me since I generally just have my reactors charge up some MFEs/MFSUs and forget about 'em til storage starts running low again, but for sustained power I'd probably end up going with solar over this unless I can find a way to better cool it unmanned.

Mark II-1s seem to be good for fairly efficent yet low fuss power (even if it's not your prefered power source it's better than letting your uranium collection gather dust in some chest), you can squeeze in a little extra cooling in this one but you'll still need to wait 76 minutes for it to cooldown after one cycle (or use 24.5 stacks of Ice blocks or 600 water buckets, hehe).

This makes the reactors overall output ~41 EU/t and you'll only have to replace the uranium cells every 4 hours (167 minutes generating, 76 minutes cooldown)

Yeah I agree it's a great use for the uranium stockpiles, and it's nice it works at night.
That reactor setup you linked is slightly better than the one I came up with; makes me happy I had the right idea with the 2x2 square of uranium.
Edit: Played with the design you linked for a while and couldn't improve on it. I'm happy to have come within 2 heat of that design.

well you can make three of them. then you can run two of them at the same time as it take only half of time to cool down.

so you start reactor A and wait to half cycle then start B. after A finish start C. after B finish you start A again as it is cooled down. so you get continuous 120EU/t.

Yeah, you come to a point (about 70 uranium bars)
when its just better to use several reactors in series and uranium efficiency isnt so very important.
personally I see no need to have a higher than 3 efficiency people are currently trying to squeeze loads of continuous power Using C.A.S.U.C.
but the effort becomes a little bit silly when you could have just as much yield making multiple reactors and less setup.

    I have too much free-time...

Edit: Cooldown only 65 minutes methink

It's gonna blow 4 water cells at roughly tick 2000.

Edit: Ok too hot in here, forgot HDs only move 6 heat :whistling:

Yeah, the 4-cell reactors are a pain to cool.

Agreed, only extended features/new stuff will let us use them as we dreamt
however if you are using redpower you could hook it up to a 50/50 cycle timer (which would make it a mark III)

    http://test.vendaria.net/index.php?reac…HCHCCHCCCHCCCHC

This one should work, with only 29 heat / tick

Edit: Even better, only 28 heat!

    http://test.vendaria.net/index.php?reac…UCHCCHHCCHCCCHC

Edit2: Did I just fail again?

These still don't work, the coolant cells around the uranium cells still overheat at 5 heat per tick. At that rate it 'pratically' needs to be surrounded by integrated dispersers.

Yeah I just noticed. Damn it, fever is messing with my mind :pinch:

Edit: If this one doesn't work I'll eat my fedora

Edit2: Indeed, only 29 heat and WORKING

Hehe, this one has 1 less heat AND a free slot! ^^

Edit: Maybe I should make my own thread, I'm apparently good at this!

Well doen dezuman that is the best design I have seen (ima steal it :D ) for the 2x2 reactor type

Feel free to use it, but if you claim you designed it a SWAT team will come and break your computer :P
