Other IC2 based items work, but I can't find anything to tell me why this is crashing my game.

Exactly that. You post it and now i can tell you:
"The error says you've mixed up a version somehow. My guess would be ModLoader or much rather MCForge, check your versions and eventually reinstall the stuff after downloading the correct version, stated in the installation intructions." -

I think its really the Forge reinstall it if that don't work please post a new Error log but than please better ordered
