A list of good reactor designs (IC² v1.103 and earlier)

I don't know about this reactor design, but I pulled this one out by myself.

It's a pretty expensive design, but I guess one should look at it.
It's a Mark II-E EE.

your first reactor design that you posted is wel... how to put it nicely. rubish. expensive low eff

second reactor, also rather low eff 2.00 and low eu output.

i am sorry, i cant say they are real bad, it is an start. try doing more designs. trial and error.

Anyways, I need a good breeder reactor setup and I can't seem to find it, if anyone can link me a good design, that would be thankful.

Built an amazing reactor design, but low efficiency...

This design was based off from a design on the IC2 wiki then I branched off from there.

100 EU/t but 1.67 Efficiency...

small edit: i know this is an mark 2, 40 minutes cooldown is not realy that much. after i finish cycles i just cool it with water until it is not using it anymore. then fire it up again and lets go. never melted down on me

True, but my designs tend to trade efficiency for power.

Also, I don't like babysitting my reactors, I mine most of the time, but it's personal perference, and I like your design. You get:

actualy the mk2 designs let you run an full cycle without the need to babysit them. that starts at mk3.

the mk2 is ideal for running an cycle (usualy 2) and then cool down.
do note, they produce more power and have an higher eff, so the overal costs may be initialy higher. but has higher EU/T output and lower costs.

your choice thou i also prefer to mine

Same amount of uranium, same efficiency, but 8 less heat dispensers and less than half the cooldown time. Even has a free space if you feel like reducing the cooldown time even further by feeding it ice.

It still doesn't quite match the efficiency of the dezuman design, but it does have a significantly shorter cooldown period in exchange for 3 additional heat dispensers while still maintaining 2.5 efficiency, with a higher effective EU/t. You don't get quite as much out of each cell, and it's a bit more expensive than dezuman's design, but you do get the energy faster if that's important to you.

Upgraded :). Can run 11,63 cycles so thats coming pretty close to a mk1 because in reality you wont refuel it instantly.

it is an nice setup, if you use compressors to make an ice stack. you can even reduce cooldown to 3 minutes. making it an infinite runner. ideal!

So i made a Mark II-15 EC nuclear reactor. I dont know if it has been already made.
If it has been made i dont take the credit. I dont know if its good just installed industrial craft couple days ago. Feel free to comment.

i am now attempting to make some high class breeders. perfect ones.

my needs: :high amount of cells charged ea cycle,
:9000 heat balance.
:no babysitting, (they stay at 9000 heat)
:any amount of chambers.

i need this to ceep my ice CASUC reactor running, i am playing on legit mode. so please, not to expensive designs
