I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong, but 1 efficiency...good if you're swimming in uranium or have a good breeder set up, I guess!

That was my bad, Rick. I thought he meant he had somehow come up with a design for a Mk1 with high efficiency that output 120 EU/t, not an efficiency 1, so I told him to post it in this thread. Had I realized he was talking about an efficiency 1 I wouldn't have suggested it.

Through dezuman had the record for best 3 eff reactor for a long time
Maes managed to beat dezuman's cooldown with a whopping 1 sec. 3
efficiency, 84,84 eu/tick average output. It produces 120 eu/tick while
running but needs 70 mins to cooldown after each cycle.

Isn't that just a bug in the app? Unless it's more complicated than I assume it is, moving 2 HDs shouldn't affect cooldown...

Edit: Or well, it's my *original* design at any rate, didn't realize the one in the thread wasn't that ... one ... whatever, mirrorring/flipping the design around to trick the app feels kinda meh anyway.

Even if it looks just like your design, it is better.

I'm curious though, did you *know* you just flipped and mirrored my design? If so that should be explicitly stated as to not make people believe there was any countless hours of mindless building involved as opposed to quick&easy puny brainwork

The Bottom right HD can be removed and replaced with whatever you want for virtually no difference in the reactor.

If you have a very severe need for power it can safely be replaced by a uranium cell for 10 more EU/t and reduced efficiency, and a 20 minute longer cooldown.

1. I filled reactor with coolant cells.
2. I flipped/mirrored position of uranium cells from your design (I tried all 4 options)
3. I started to add HDs
4. TADA, your design....
Actually it is very hard to not build your design if Uranium cells are in same pattern and position (1 block from corner). I think position of Uranium is key thing when building reactor.
Also there should be an option to flip design in planner itself;

I'm not sure how good that actually is, it seems pretty good to me. I am planning on setting up 4 with some redstone/redpower to keep continuous generation. Can this design be made more effecient?
