Question: Getting IC2 to Work (downgrading doesn't seem to work)

    Long long frustrating story short:


    I have Minecraft 1.0.0. I have downgraded the necessary .jar by means of MCpatcher, MCNostalgia, and Windows 7 Restore. Minecraft will load into vanilla 1.8.1


    But as soon as I try to install Modloader (I have used both the 1.0.0 version, AND the 1.8.1 version I found online elsewhere), Minecraft won't load the Mojang screen, just black screen.


    So. Does anyone have suggestions?
    OR!
    Does anyone have the necessary 1.8.1 files, loaded out with NOTHING BUT the necessary files for IC2, basic IC2, and the files needed for IC2 sounds? No other mods, no BuildCraft, just working IC2 with sounds? And could you upload them?
    OROR!
    Should I just wait a little bit (hopefully) for IC2 to make it to 1.0.0 compatibility?

    If you really do have the correct version of MC, 1.8.1, the directions on the wiki should work. And I don't think people are allowed to give you their MC jars, due to copyright issues (I think?)

    (The other two required, Forge and ModloaderMP, have clearly marked previous versions, so I won't link to them)


    You can check your .minecraft folder for Modloader.txt, which should be created if Modloader was installed correctly. If it's there, can you post the contents? If not, did you delete the META-INF folder in the minecraft.jar when you installed Moadloader?
