[Suggestions 171]: "Great innovations" with biofuel crops and other stuff

  • 1) I hope overflow problems with crops and fuel are fixed.
    Cropnalizer also show level of hydration and fertility.
    Hydration cell work properly (and destruct on deplition).


    2) Not everything added as biomass source, i hope
    melons
    pumpk (both block and seeds)
    and everything else that grow properly added as biomass source.


    Currently biomass created via crafting - mass clicks, completely annoyning, suggestion is simple:
    Macerator or Compressor or both shoud process green items into biomass based of random and production rates:
    sapling 1 of 4
    pumpkin and melon block 1 of 4
    pumpkin seed and melon seeds (slices) 1 of 16
    wheat 1 of 32 but produce special biomass
    cacti 1 of 32
    everything else 1 of 8


    Machine shoud draw biomass from ajusted chest to allow it automated usage without buildcraft, with buildcraft player will have nice chance to build sorting facility.
    Result shoud be placed back to chest.
    If buildcraft presend machines shoud not use chests directly - only pipes allowed as distribution method.


    Biomass shoud use cheap and recycable cells - glass, loaded via canner machine only. (no more crafting based load) (same chest detection and usage methods).


    Cells also shoud be produced as part of production line - glass blocks into compressor shoud result in glass cells.
    (total production line: cobble generator - macerator - furnace - compressor).


    Wheat shoud result in special type of biomass - ethanol mass, same power as coal but hard to produce in mass due 1 to 32 rate.
    Coal based fuel shoud still use tin cells, as it initially non renewable source of energy.


    Number of possible combinations for fuel is limited, common range 5000 - 50 000 scaled in 5000 - total 10 tiers archived by rounding result down.
    Defining 10 types of filled cans will allow user to stack them and clearly see how much energy is stored inside, sprite also can have different colors based of how much energy inside.
    Empty fuel can shoud be placed into smelting slot and stacked fuel shoud only burn of smelting slot it empty - soo stacked fuel can only be used in generator providing energy into network.
    Unstacked fuel can be used also in iron furnace and normal furnace, since there is no metadata but 10 different items.


    3) Crops hopefully fixed, level of light and fertility no longer affect ability to place plants, but only growth speed.
    Skymap, biome and air effects removed due overcomplication, or at least effects of this can be fixed with fertilizer.
    Trampling removed, only crops with special effects (like poison) interact with player on collusion (but not removed in process).


    Cropnalizer got tiers:
    1) Tier 1 scan plants for basic params, hydration and fertility and most important current grow state, every scan cost minor amout of energy.
    2) Tier 2 is stationary machine block that can perform deep scan without need of energy crystals and hurge amount of clicks, place seedbag into slot - get result after few seconds, all stages of scanning completed automatically over operation time (5-10 seconds to encourage multiple t2 cropnalizers).


    4)
    Rubber trees mechanic shoud be changed to prevent various types of abuse:


    1) Every naturally generated log block have special metadata, block with such metadata cannot be placed by player, no matter what.
    2) Some logs generated with treehole, treehole have only two states now, present and not. (no empty state)
    3) Lowest block of rubber tree is host block, it never have treehole but handle holes on entire tree.
    4) Time to time this block randomtick and refresh treeholes on tree, if it detect damage on tree it will stop refresh permanently.
    damage is empty space or replaced logs up to 7 blocks above root.
    5) If root block is removed - no more rubber.
    6) All holes are single use, and will appear every time on new place.
    7) This will force user to grow trees of max possible height and never damage them, preventing removal of nonrubber blocks (and floating rubber blocks producing rubber from air)


    Well, discuss, IMHO ofc, but fuel and crops really need revamp.
