CASUC Perfrect Breeder question

  • So I managed to build a CASUC perfect breeder in the reactor planner: http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…72lhfrhuy111cyorpltawk668

Problem is I can't accurately determine if it is running "perfectly" in game. I would install the thermometer mod to tell but I am running a tekkit server with a bunch of my friends so that would just be annoying to get everyone to install the mod. However if there is a mod that is only server sided that uses a command or something that would be great.

Anyway is it possible for someone to test this breeder and/or give me any tips on a better layout that would be great :D

  • sure!

comence testing....NOW! brb in 3 hours.

edit: blew it up in under 5 minutes, did something wrong i gues. (containment chamber ftw!)

here is the design i use for breeders:
    http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…wh1w5ay2fpj9b1u3wcj92jayo

where the empty spaces are used for the lava buckets, just fire up the reactor, (gets it to 1k heat and then runs stable.) (i know reactor planner sais diferent)
dump in 3 buckets of lava (+6000 heat to the hull)
and let it run its cycle, all cells wil be charged.
note: this reactor generates the exact amount of fuel it needs for its next cycle, i designed it for that purpose. while stil pumping out an gooood suply of power.

it sacrifices energy efficiency for breeder efficiency (increases overal uranium ore's eff to 8X normal energy) with much faster generation of power.
    (active eu of 210)

my advice: test this on single player creative mode in an big big bunker! if it blows, it blows gooood. (allot of uranium hehe)

    hope it helped

    right, time to get serious...
i wil be offline for weeks and possibly months at an time. if you have anything to add to an post i made, and would like me to know. you are welcome to pm me, and i wil reply as soon as i am able to do so.

  • Haha mine lasted about 4ish hours before blowing up. I had it in a weird shaped bunker so the explosion was directed weirdly lol. But I will give your design a try and see what happens

  • Hi! my experience is that the problem is the environment. Probably tubes or pipes count as air to the reactor, not blocks. When I was building my design I simply heated up the reactor when it was radiating, then I turned it off for a sec. If It was radiating again, then it is positive, if it stopped flaming, then negative.
If you dont have time, yust put a chicken-dead-switch there and come before it would finish. Hope it helped.
