Support Request:Minecraft crashes on start up. [closed]

    Hello,
    I've bene trying to install ic2 for hours now but to no avail. I've tried a bunch of versions of forge and ic2 and couldn't get any single one to work. Minecraft isn't returning an error message, just stops at the mojang screen. However, when looking at forge's log, It always stops at initializing IC2....

    EDIT: I've fixed the problem by checking all the versions of forge and their compatibility. Now I believe I am using forge 3.3.8.163

    It is meant to see the error in how you installed IC.
    So.
    Install modloader and the right forge version.
    (IN mc.jar)
    Put Industrialcraft^2 into the mods folder.


    If it still throws errors at your face then put this on your desktop:

    And run it.
    Paste that error here.


    Notes:
    Do NOT add any addons or w/e yet.
    Do NOT launch minecraft from any place other than roaming/appdata (win7) or application data/appdata (XP) unless you know what you are messing with.

    Thanks for the help, but I'm on a mac so the file will do nothing. I do kinda know what I'm doing and I installed Ic2 properly. I actually got it to work after some perseverance, I think it was just luck I did it right. I'm pretty sure it was the version of forge I was using. the forge modlaoder version is 2.2.106.176 opposed to the version I was using before which was 2.2.48.135.
