I thought the original reason why it was disabled was to stop people piping stuff into the personal safe and being a troll and stoping people piping stuff out of the chest and stealing peoples stuff.
However gregs idea could be a good solution to this. However I think we should hear what RichardG thinks before we get ahead of ourselves.

It's needed to reduce the amount of spambots that come to the forums and there may be more security in the registration to come to insure less spambots.
It's not needed however because everyone loves spambots spamming kitchen threads everywhere (sarcasm). -

I think that these will just cause complications. Logistics pipes for example makes automation easy, which isnt how automation works it's supposed to be giant machines that take alot of work to make so its easy to do whatever you want afterward, But with logistics pipes it makes it too easy to automate shortening the time between the moment you start using them to the late game.
Advanced machines... Alblaka made overclockers for a reason.
Flat bedrock would mean we would need a new map
(which the above would really piss me off since it took me 3 minecraft sessions making that mechanical sky whale)
Compact solars may reduce server lagg however, if you really need that much energy you could have just setup a lava pump in the nether and make a giant geo gen machine which will last till the server updates and get's a new map for the new minecraft version.These are my reasons why these mods shouldn't be added.

Wait...Do they have all means of recyclerfodder generation disabled? I think scrapboxing for EMC can be quite profitable, with all those golden helmets and such.
No everything on that server has everything burn for half of its EMC value, meaning an item = 200EMC, when its burned up you get 100EMC, but you need 200EMC to get it back. This in turn means no loop holes using EMC. Tekkit servers are weird why not just disable EE2 all together.

That server crash wasn't intended I think I may have put a bit to many accelerated symbals in the world.
