wvk, there was a such thing in previous versions of IHL, when you can use any metal plates or foils in iron workbench recipes, but i decide to fix this. Please check NEI one more time and tell me, if there is something else beside IC2 refined Iron plate, GT steel plate or Railcraft steel plate in NEI recipe.
As well Kirara 3 use v0.572. Actual version is 0.575. Is this bug is also present in latest version of IHL with kirara 3 modpack?

Ahhh, IHL has fallen prey to the upgrade changes. Like the Thermal Centrifuge has apparently.
I was catched with this bug in a middle of creating new IHL worldgen. Will fix this as soon as i finish it.
Here is example of new worldgen (with disabled check, if current block is replaceable). Its pretty CPU-friendly and generate ores as straight lines. This line could pass several chunks. If anyone have suggestions/remarks - shoot them now.
EDIT: New oregen is ready and IHL updated to new IC2 version. -
Ok, so when i try to launch the pack i get a crash which il send at the end of the post.If i understand correctly that crash is caused by IHV tools or however that mod is called. (appearently theres a character limit so im just gonna paste bin it)
Check new (0.573) version of IHL here at SSP and report if this is help. -
As it seems for me - feldspar dust is byproduct of red granite processing.

Are IHL mods not required for your mod? Will GT ores be enough?
Check if there is GT feldspar ore. If it is exist - everything is fine. -
Ore generation, obviously. If you using IHL with GT - disable generation of all IHL ores in config. I will try to optimise it.

leagris, you see, this would be a little bit illogical. If salt water will evaporate at some condition, it would mean, that some day and some time not long before map generation this saltwater lake was a part of ocean and by spotting these blocks evaporation we will spot a geological process what are normally takes several hundreds years (i mean changing coast line shape).

There are generated pools of salted water in Desert biomes with IHL (bright pink fluid easy to spot).
It would look legitimate to evaporate any placed or generated water when it is open sky and biome is dry.
So indeed, it would not evaporate generated village wells because they have a roof cover.
IHL already have an optional dynamic water mechanic where water and lava sources will flow away and down if not bordered on all sides.
So, you suggest to generate salt ore instead of those pink lakes? -
