We need a Linus version of the Greg beacon!

You put 1 bucket of water in, and after an IRL hour, you'll get 1 bucket/cell of distilled water. It's an early game alternative than setting up a condenser and steam generator.
-
I've gotten the same thing. Causes the occasional lag spike if I leave the game paused too long, but doesn't seem to affect it any other way.

FTB is dropping ic2
Not dropping IC2, simply only using RF based mods. Ironically Forestry doesn't, but does add bees, so is in a really interesting place.
seems
It is. No seem about it
FTB... well I personally cant do it because im uh... banned there. heh.
gg
An IC2 themed pack IMO would be best with MJ too, as IC2 on it's own lacks things like auto-farming that Forestry could add and the pipe flexibility that Buildcraft adds. Sure you could make it, but I doubt it will ever get that publicised/used, as non RF mods just aren't the trend right now.

OK, you're on!
*Puts on arty music*

Would there be any way to get either 1 book, like Factorization, ore many books, similar to Tinkers Construct, that explain different IC2 things in game? Then all the information could be given straight to players rather than them having to find a wiki with it in. And we could all put the info there, rather than you
-
It was good while it lasted
Updating the wiki will be far easier how that the mechanics aren't changing every 5 builds. But we have to decide which wiki we'll update, so that we collect all our efforts, rather than a few doing FTB and a few on the IC2 wiki.

No wonder we're not getting releases faster, they're having a drawing competition
-
It is in no way Gregtech. Especially not now with the direct both mods have gone. But for your question: [Not exactly an addon] IC2 Classic - now 1.7.2

I was wondering if I could get some suggestions/ requests for reviews to cover once I get back to reviews from the 20th of August onwards?
Of films, games? What platforms for games?General lesson for everyone too, when sending your computer to sleep, make sure Minecraft has stopped first:

Do you think it is worth it creating biogas with the fermenter now and use that as fuel for generators?
Yes. Biogas is an amazing fuel, so as long as you have a source of saplings/leaves/other plant matter, you'll never hit problems with it.
In which order would you build the neccessary machines
That's very much down to how much rubber you have. If you are struggling for it, an extractor first. If you're ok, macerator to double ores, then extractor, then furnace, compressor or metal former. IMO.
what do you think is the best way to play the early game the IC2 way?
Don't start then find you've run out of iron. Having a decent amount of raw resources is crucial.

Because at no point did any other group of people, except those who posted on the FTB reddit, decide that IC2 was suddenly going for the most tedious route possible. IC2 changed, and some people didn't accept that. But never was the goal to make it any more grindy.
-
At some point, there must have been some decision to make Ic2 as dull and tedious as possible.
Only by Reddit
Are there any plans to change back to the old crafting recipes and the old UU matter behavior, or is it just a pipe-dream?
As much chance as there is Half Life 3 coming out. Or at least one which other mods will see as IC2. Immibis did make an IC2 classic version, but it is a 1.4.7 build updated, so it will crash with any other mod trying to use it's API.

Buildcraft
Has updated to 1.7.10, Thaumcraft has a beta and Gregtech will follow Thaumcraft. There is no point to backdate, over keeping and fixing the 1.7.10 version, which will be used way more anyway.
-
Not for unofficial packs. FTB is useless at unofficial pack support. Technic has the best unofficial pack support IMO.
-
There is no reason to, because unless you ported a 1.6.4 world, there was no way to obtain the items anyway. The items that were removed were ones which took an item ID each, as IC2 and IC1 always had, because they'd been replaced by the same items taking up just 1 ID.

The copper square on the electric heater must face (and touch) the copper square on the fermenter. Otherwise the heat isn't being transferred between the heater and the fermenter, so obviously nothing will happen.
-
Yeah, I found that a few hours ago. A condenser is so much nicer than annoying steam particles everywhere

All bugs should go on the bug tracker. That's why it's a BUG TRACKER!

Good to see you back, your mods updating and the creative juices flowing for new ideas/changes
