actually, that depends on the lava. some types are very viscous, others...not so much.

Transformers? Do you mean the engines or the actual blocks? If you mean the engines, then no. You can upgrade them, but to another tier of it. Like, you to make a higher tier of an engine, you need the lower tier of it. HV needs MV, MV need LV, and LV is a different recipe. All of the block recipes will end up like this.

why? It would make some sense to do that with power generators, but not converters.

All saplings which are properly oredictionarized should work to make plantballs.

I can confirm, as of 1.4.7 (haven't tested in 1.6.4) that all saplings from Forestry (and TF) can be used to make plantballs

Yes it does but are they able to both look awesome and interact with the wortld like the player does?

    yes and no
yes they look sorta awesome, but no, they can't do too much yet. More for combat than construction, that is what turtles are for

I think Industrialcraftneeds some things in the world which are capable of doing certain interactions with the world. In other words Robots. I would be happy that if you add them that you add Lua(Computercraft) support for programming.

go pickup the open periph add-on for CC, it has robots. WITH LAZERS!

you can check what is going on in the launcher, just go to the profile settings and keep the launcher active. then watch the dev console tab to see what is going on, and post the results here.

try deleting the config file and see if that fixes it, if not you'll have to manually change that ID. Though I would have thought that should give an ID conflict error not a duplicate ID error...

    3. If only it could be made compatible with forestry and let you get pollen from bees that could be manually used to crossbreed plants.
    4. glad to hear that
    5. perhaps a scrap gen rate setting the config file? this way servers can set it to low (or even turn cobblestone->scrap off) to counter cobblestone generators in MP.
I just wish the quantum armor could be used to counter the radiation better, right now it is a pain. any thoughts to a Geiger counter? that way we'd get some warning before getting burned.

Yeah, that's not good. I looked around the Nether for about 45 minutes, and couldn't find a single block. I previously hadn't explored very fall at all, so I'm positive I generated new chunks. I'm wondering if the ore is actually spawning naturally?

As far as heating up a boiler with Ethanol, that's pretty crazy. I prefer to use the largest size high pressure boilers, so they run easier long term. It takes ages to make that much ethanol!

start with an full size LP boiler as it will consume far less than an HP boiler in both heat up and while working to get started on your ethanol production. I managed to get going quickly and I will have to expand my production once I get to 1.6.4 (from 1.4.7), I'm going to need a LOT more stills....wish they moved faster...I currently have 5 stills going near full speed all the time due to the 3 tree farms I have going. I will prob get an increase when I get to 1.6.4 due to the walnut tree farm saplings being average on the sappiness, and that will take more than 5 stills to keep up with the biomass production.

How often do you let your food bar get so low that one steak can't fill it? That's why I advocated one steak, or specifically, food equaling one steak. After that, though, I said it would be even better if we could fill a single can with up to 20 food points (a full bar) and then when you eat the can it fully restores your food bar and removes that much food from the can, allowing you to compress your food (2.5 steaks would fill a can) without wasting it. This seems like it would be easiest to achieve using liquid mechanics, but this is very much not appetizing... though that could factor into a balancing mechanic. Maybe canned food restores hunger, but not very much saturation (because it is nasty nutrition paste, or just because IC2 canning's liquefying processes zap some of the nutrients from it).

soup machine! then the canning machine puts the soup/stew into the can.

I very much liked the suggestion to make canned food require multiple food items to make i.e. one steak will fill a can, but it would take 2 carrots. Or something similar. That way cans are a compact way to carry food.

What about having cans with damage values? When you "eat" one, it takes out enough food to fully restore hunger, and leaves leftovers? Then cans could have enough food to fully restore hunger, but not waste any if you eat at half hunger. This could also allow you to refill cans a bit at a time.

one steak? I want at least 2!
I want to compact my food.
