sigh....new version of BC is out.
and being sick during the holiday season REALLY sucks.

For IC2 maybe.... but the electric engines are on. So, deal with it.
By the way, why don't you get on skype anymore?
I can't leave skype on while I play MC, causes a BSOD when I exit MC and kills the level I was playing on.
and I was talking about the engines not generators. I just think the engine voltage tolerances should be upped for now, we can adjust it later when the e-net gets the rest of the variables they are adding. The generators' output are fine. -
addition of new item is addon plan, not hack, spritework required for this and everyone will be forced to keep this addon "permanently" or already crafted items will dissapear.
basically there are two options: disable laser and disable crafting of laser.
3 options
3rd option: disable charging of laser -
Yeah. Doesn't make quite sense. But, hey, I guess it works? XD
you are right, LV is 32 EU/t, but with the recent changes to the e-net, it doesn't make much sense (right now) to keep it that low as it is hard to power machines with so little energy.
and right now machine explosions due to over powering them is disabled. -
See my Bit-bucket repository for my latest commit. I don't wanna ruin the surprise.
though...I use the one that isn't quite right....which stinks...so close to being useable....keep it up!
btw, the voltages should be 128, 512, 2048, 8192 for LV, MV, HV, and EV engines, the max output of the EV engine should only be 1024 as that is the max a diamond pipe can carry. Unless you want to also make a new "IV pipe" that could carry more.
the EV generator shouldn't be adjusted on output, we just need to add an IV one and it would just need multiple inputs to get higher than 2560 EU/t which can come later. -
sorry, but, if you let the magic smoke out, electronics don't work anymore.
-
I should be.... at least I think I am. I also need to fix that one crash bug with the adjustable buttons in the adjustable electric engine ev. And, make it actually respond to the buttons also.
This release is far from being done.
personally I'd leave the GUI for last. get the generators working and then work on the GUI. though, getting it to not crash would be good, but getting the buttons to work can wait. -
Currently, the only thing that actually works, is the electric engines. And no, guis and generators do not work (for now.... :D).
one step down, two to go! (I just hope you are in the latest version of BC)
-
Does it? Or does it not? *dun dun dunnnnn!*
it looks like it is transferring energy....but are there GUI's? and do the generators work? -
You rang?
wait....does that mean it works!??!? -
Awesome!
I will try to do some more later when I get the chance to. But, right now, I'm currently freezing since the door is open right now. Unfortunately, I can't even close it.
Dumb family religions.
wha? ok...(the door thing) and it sounds like you need an electric blanket to keep warm...pref one that lets you code easy at the same time. -
-
better idea would be for the device to automatically detect what type of pipe is hooked up so the converters would do anything
and it'd be nice to add UE to the mix as well:
EU/UE to MJ/TE, BUT only one output type for the generator....hmmm....if you did that you'd prob want to make the generators have single output side....perhaps that should come later...just leave it EU output on the generator for now -
Thats what you get for using voodoo magics without knowing the principles behind it :3
at least he didn't try to steal the babe with the power -
scuba helm can be used to stay underwater earlier than a quantum helm, you just have to have a stack of compressed air cells.
those 6 iron ingots make more than one iron bars, so you can make more than one scuba helm with the less iron than an iron helm.
and other mods use iron bars, RC comes to mind. -
Well... with voodoo magic implemented, it now crashes whenever I click on it. XD I find it funny since I don't even know what the problem is!
post the crash log, maybe someone can help. -
Going under a (some-what) complete re-write. I'm gonna try to do it the non-lazy way and kinda write it myself... probably not, but, still. Under a (some-what) complete re-write.
whatever it takes to make it work! -
Knockback is not that good, as it may...ya now, skeltons are not supposed to be knocked back and stuff like that. And isn't the Iridium Drill an Add On?
nope, it is in the experimental versions -
plasma....launcher....?
is this a gun for IC2 or a super mining laser? -
That's the first thing I noticed when testing a power grid setup. (I thought I had read - or at least heard Direwolf20 (?) say that they were individual packets, so maybe a little confusing at first..)
I kind of like the new system, but yeah, I've noticed that you need a LOT more transformers. Here's what I tested.
First, I had two HV solars (using the compact solars mod), going into a storage unit. Worked fine until I added more solars along the same line. *kaboom*! (Note that little explosion in the background)
Then, I found this out -
Pack 4 HV solars around an EV Transformer. Then, put an MFSU (carefully... putting it the wrong direction WILL cause it to explode) in front of the EV Transformer. Repeat the pattern. It looks like this (since I saw someone asking for a diagram) -
(yeah, I'm partial to my spawn spots. Old Minecraft Alpha habit. :)) Still not sure why this doesn't cause the MFSU - not pictured since I was testing the Mass Fab. It was next to the EV transformer - to explode, but the "unprocessed" EU - for the lack of a better term - doesn't. I call this setup a "blade" since it looks sort of like a sword blade - or atleast a chainsaw. As for EU loss, I hope it's a variable setting in the config file to increase/reduce it, especially for people who like to make huge builds. I'm still wondering how I'm gonna get hundreds of thousands of EU into my Mass Fabricator now.
the reason for the compact solar behavior is that they only output EU every 4 ticks. and it is 512EU every 4th tick. The transformer converts it to every tick so it smooths out the output of the HV solar array. (at least this is what I've read)
