I think that we should also make a compatibility between hoppers and Induction Furnaces:
The problem is not that we cannot add in the two slots: you can add more hoppers. The problem is that we cannot remove in the two slots at the same time, because you can only add a hopper at the bottom (or maybe I'm wrong, and I don't make a good use of the hoppers).

However, melting copper tin and all that stuff should work.
I use 2.0.380 and it works perfectly. Are you sure you did not take craftguide (which is glitchy with IC2)?

I think that the fuel rod is obtained by putting iron (maybe an iron plate, I don't know) into the metal former and setting it on extruding mode.
And NEI is Not Enough Items.
This mod allows you to see all the recipes regardless where they are from. It also gives you the ability to see any furnace, and any machine recipe. So, with NEI, you'll be able to see how to do a fuel rod, and how to fill it.

    Mh, I understand.
Though, the fact that the amount of EU traveling does not matter in the melting is absolutely unrealistic, or you will have to prove me wrong.
I am still convinced that the strength of the current is implied in melting the cables.

No, that is wrong. Voltage will come back, so you still can put as many solars as you want on a tin cable.

Voltage was temporarily removed to make way for E-Net optimizations.

The old one is actually the more realistic one.

I do not agree with you: for you, why does a cable melt?
Normally, the electrons, as they cross the cable, encounter a resistance. This resistance makes them "waste" energy. So, the more electrons you have, the more energy will get wasted. And this energy is transformed into heat, which means that the cable gradually heats up and melts.
So, we don't care if the electrons are grouped into groups of 128, or anything else. Each single electron will have an impact on the cable. That's why I think the "new" system would be more realistic.

And, when you think about it, the golden cables had a maximum EU-packet size of 128 EUs. What's the point of having some High voltage cables (1024 I think) that lose tons of EUs, when you can just downgrade the amount of EUs with a transformer?
I never used High voltage cables: they had a poor efficiency, and I needed iron for other things.

I understood that in the future versions, the system will not be based on packets any longer. I think it will be based on the amount of EUs flowing through the cable (it is disabled for now though). So, if you have a power source of 10 EU/tick, you can only work three of them with a tin cable (limit=32EU).
This system will be much more realistic than the old one, (and I do not understand why we had the old one before, and what was its aim (maybe it was a bit easier to program)).

Oh come on, isn't there any news about it? This is the 9th day of inactivity!
Or maybe I have missed an info about another topic dedicated to the subject we were discussing?

If it is still the right section where I should post, here is my character:
    Name: Martititi
Age: I should be around 25 years old, 6 months, 26 days, 16 hours, 20 minutes and 54 seconds right now. 55 seconds, 56, 57,... Ok, I stop this...
    Gender: Male
Appearance: What do you mean? (if it is the way I'll go in the story, here it goes: I'm a civil and military engineer. I was requisitioned during the fight against spambots. I guess they suspected some skills that could be helpful. However, I had a little impact on the fights because of some shortages. I hope I'll be able to create a system based on industry to be able to keep the supply line on. During this war, I'll for sure provide a ranged support, but for this, you should probably read my strengths).
Powers: Does the brain count as a power? If no, then I have none, but I'll rely on technology (as much as I can). I will not use magic.
Weaknesses: Close combat against any type of entities.
Strengths: Ranged combat, nuclear science (I am not a specialist in both the real and virtual life, but I like nuclear engineering), rocket and cannon sciences.
Etc. Well, to describe myself, I would say that I'm fond of sciences, but more physics than biology. I also love mathematics (but for now, I cannot talk about advanced mathematics due to the fact I'm still young).
Maybe I'll be a bit rude with you, but please take it easy. You can blame two things: my lack of vocabulary, or the fact I'm an INTJ (if you don't know, google is your friend).
