The CPU usage of a multiblock system wouldn't be that bad. It doesn't have to run the whole check and full calculations every tick. It'd basically just have to run everything once when the thing starts up, then make sure to stop (or slightly explode) if any vital blocks get broken or moved.

It's not that I want it to go far I would like it to last. I feel you use it for 100 blocks or 200 if the numbers are right then recharge. I would like it to work a lot lot longer. Kind of useless for me anyways.
Try an input of 512EU/t instead of 81EU/t

I just wanted to confirm that many of my users are also crashing nonstop. They have all the right mods, changed config, etc..but some lose connection as soon as they come in or they keep crashing once they reach a certain point. One user just told me that this is not happening to him on other servers. Is there any other explanation for chronic crashing syndrome (CCS)?
Note that this is only certain users. Some users can be on almost nonstop while others can barely play for 5 minutes. Poor internet or lots of players seem to exacerbate the issue. Matter of fact, it seems once we hit 10 people on if more join others crash. This is very frustrating and I'm hoping there is something I can do on my end to improve the situation, I dont want to drop BC.

The normal mode on the mining laser is only slightly less powerful than the one in IC. If I remember correctly, the IC one went 8 blocks in smoothstone.
IC2's laser in normal mode goes about six, there is a slight power decrease but I don't see why a buff is needed. Just turn it on long-range, yes it only has 8 shots, but for a 2x1x1 tunnel it'll go through ~108 blocks of smoothstone. Plus if any dirt is thrown in the lasers way it'll just go farther.
Actually, just did some quick math; the normal mode can almost chew through 200 blocks from a full charge. So again I don't see the problem.
TBH I feel 200 blocks is next to nothing. It's a Mining Laser not a chisel
Jup, they issue is not the bugs going unnoticed, the problem is people spamming the forum with already known bugs because noone has time to update the official known-thread, noone is using the inofficial fun bugtracker, and there's no public access to the intern TODO list.
Most bugs brought up are known, yet not fixed.
Yeah I been seeing that a few my bugs reported end up not being fixed in 1.23 even stated they would be but that is the problem RL and then bunch big reports they end up getting lost and that is just a normal thing. I assume the wiki is public right? Might be a good idea someone good working with wiki's I suck at designing pages but maybe consider adding SSP Section and a SMP Section for bug reports and we actually link them to the thread with the details and when someone create a a dupe we link them to that thread and maybe even give normal users the ability to close their thread. Pretty much opps derp locked.
I mean I do understand being organized is the key I had learned that the hard way myself. Running Mod Server 4-5 mods is nothing but when you start dealing with say Bukkit and then Dealing with Release Builds, Dev Builds and etc because some work better then other in Dev builds and with bukkit their goal and almost all plugin makers to offer a direct dev build to their work it was just impossible so this what I had to do myself:

I currently build at version 2.0. This has support from the beginning SMP.
Version 1.0 of the code is so chaotic that a SMP is not possible afterwards.
First previous SMP comes in a few days ... (Very Basic Field block only ...)
Okay thanks for the information. I don't know a ton about your mod but I have been looking for a mod that does the following. Field Generator that causes an unbreakable barrier but uses lots and lots of power. Needs some kind cap you don't want people increasing the field by like 1000x1000 thing around critical systems like for example reactor. Wonderful ANTI griefing PVP Mechanism.
Few questions:
Could it stop a nuke blast from entering?
Could people some how get past the barrier in anyway? (legit)
Is it possible create a bubble well mathematics and calculations and cpu usage a squared in area?
What I would love to see and this was the dream fetish mine since I saw something about field generators and such. Create a small PVP server with a border and I already have this because I use the bukkit port but anyways. Every man for themeselves. No rules pretty much besides no hacking. People need to survive and not die and pretty much end game is to get a large field generator around your base. Making you not die and comfort in your home... UNLESS it goes down due to poor energy going to it etc... But the part I want is not like the old IC where generates and you can damage this is perm protection.
Think this is possible? Does this sound fun?
As i've mentioned already, if you rather want the team, which actually has a RL to some degree and can't spend their whole time on developing, fixing and testing IC², to test every single method and possibility and in redo release every version with a delay of one month and more, just note it.
You need a couple active low life testers. Ones that can test stuff for you. Things like reminding you when you give them a short notice maybe release in a day or 2 BTW Mr. Alblaka that one bug still in the game etc etc. I don't know how it works but I hope you have tester reports submitted to you in a nice clean these are the current bugs found in smp etc etc.
Any luck on finding a co-developer for the SMP portion? Kind of sad this aint SMP hehe. I feel this prob the most beneficial mod for SMP vs SSP.
Jup, appears like the casual SMP-GUI-Desync. I would go for adding the casual signs next to a Omat until we managed to fix it.
Yeah we always do that anyways with other shop systems in the past. THis the first one so advance it was a shame not to be fully working at first hehe.
