I actually have a 2TB secondary hard drive but it's having non responsive issues. (it's not even a year old) I need to trade out the sata cables to see if it fixes it. When I was recording dead island, it would randomly freeze up my game for a bit, then be fine. I have 12 GB ram.
Far as the furnace, yeah, people have been spamming it up on the comments telling me not to use sticks.

For me, without using the sound fix that you added, I had no sound at all in minecraft. Using the sound fix did though give me working sound.
Killing a pig with a mining laser should produce cooked pork. imo
Are terraformer blueprints craftable? Not showing up on recipe book.

automated cactus farm + buildcraft factory + small ore processing plant == automated biofuel production, just stay afk near it and later pick up fuel\SU Batteries.
But now biofuel is dead...
Problem with auto farms like that are the accidently buildup ruining your world. We have a chunk on IR that lags everyone out when they go near it. CACTUS BLOCK OVERLOAD
But yes, it's a great idea.
Maybe leave the more 'advanced' ideas of the enemies for the programmable robots he plans to add. These things just need to be out to kill you with great rewards for killing. I don't see why they couldn't have a trigger to spawn until after a specific tier of weapon/armor is crafted.

I feel leaving them out and using UU matter is best. imo That type of creating of items should be end tier.
It's amazing with all the 'how to' videos out there and written out instructions, I still get spammed daily on youtube with questions on how to install stuff. (AMG BLACK SCREEN ITS BROKEN FFFFFF)
