Mojang doesn't support outdated versions at all, they don't even provide legacy downloads. No reason for us to support those then.

Agreed -- I'd rather see new updates and additions to the mod, rather than time spent supporting legacy versions.

Episode 44 is rendering now, and is going to be uploaded tonight. The bad news is, its the last episode!

It had to end SOMETIME, and this just felt like a good spot to end it :). I will probably do another Lets Play series at some point, but I'm not sure if it'll be 1.8 or 1.9, or maybe even not until MC Goes gold. Who knows!

I've had a GREAT time making these, and I hope everyone who's watched them has enjoyed them. I've received a lot of positive responses from the videos.

I've uploaded my world (As it exist at this moment) to mediafire. http://www.mediafire.com/?g3lzfa74o4484f8

You'll need the mods I used in order for it to work, install video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS3y0sqZdMY

I probably won't be able to troubleshoot your getting it working :). Its up to you to find the right version of the game, and the mods, and put the save folder where it belongs :).

If someone wouldn't mind, could you please test downloading it and everything, and let me know that it worked? Thanks!

    Take it easy everyone! :)

dose anyone know a way i could use the bc pump to make lava fuel cells?

Does the new BC pump work on lava? 2.1.x version only worked on oil, but Spacetoad did say new versions would work on Water/Lava. EDIT: Just saw the 2.2.0 notes, and BC pumps do work on Lava. Not sure if you can automatically make lava buckets, but you CAN pump lava outta the ground and store it in tanks, and now use buckets on tanks to get the lava out. Still manual :(.

Failing that, you can use Equivalent Exchange with its Addon IC2 --- use Volcanite Amulet + 2 redstone + Empty cell = lava cell (and doesn't use up volcanite).

In one of my lets play episodes, I create a lava cell factory.

That might be the problem i think the bat box was full when i measured and it is daytime when i tested this

EDIT: I just tested this and that was the problem, The solar panels need to have something to feed power too to even send power. This makes sense. Thanks guys

    Glad to help :)

So 1.15 is out! :). Can't wait to get home and check it out!

Post your findings here, in terms of what you've noticed that might not be included in the changelog. (Can't wait for the new bounding boxes myself)

I know what you mean about the cheating part - I felt that way at first, but eventually gave in :).

Place down the holographic projector, and right click (without any tools) to bring up the interface.

1 slot -- Place an item in here, and that is what the Hologram uses to create an image. Example: Place smoothstone, and the hologram is made of smoothstone. Place Cobble, etc you get the idea.

3 lines for settings, with numbers 1 though 9. This is Height and Width and depth. This tells you how big the projector's image will be. Example:

You choose 1x3x3, it creates a 1x3x3 wall of whatever material you placed in the item slot. (Not sure if this is do-able, if not, we'll need to figure out another way to size the thing).

Finally, theres a checkbox (or yes/no, or something) that determines whether the hologram is 'solid' or not. Solid holograms act just like normal MC blocks -- non solid holograms LOOK just like MC blocks, but you can walk right through them. (Perhaps toggle this with a redstone current?)

Requires 1eu/s per block. 2 eu/s per SOLID block (double energy cost to make image solid, aka can't walk through it).

    Thoughts? :)

Several people have mentioned the Technik pack on my Lets Play series. Heres my copy/paste response:

The technik pack that yogscast is featuring is an unlicensed mod pack - whoever put it together did NOT get permission from the authors. I do not support or recommend using it out of respect to the developers - Alblaka, SpaceToad, Eloraam, etc. I have a video up showing how to do it yourself for anyone interested -- its just a matter of getting version 1.7.3 of the game and the mods

Since starting my lets play, I can't tell you how many people asked for either A) My jar file, or B) a modpack. I always respond the same way -- A) Illegal per notch B) Disrespectful to the developers.

Besides, its not like its hard to install these mods together. They are all MCForge. Its literally one or two item id's and THATS IT.

I know the attention is awesome for you Alblaka, but I'm sure you wish it wasn't coming via an unlicensed mod pack :). Still, attention is attention, and donations are donations, and the end result: Your mod gets more play. Your mod getting more play (and you getting more donations) hopefully leads to a better IC2 for all of us!

V1.1 is out. It implements dual output, but removes Buildcraft compatibility. Therefore, I've bundled the previous version as version "Buildcraft".

I have no idea how complex this suggestion is, so take it with a grain of salt :). What about having both versions of the item with slightly different recipes in the game? "Rotary Macerator" and "Automatic Rotary Macerator" (The names need work). Automatic is the 'old' version that works with BC and has 1 output, the other is the 'New' version that doesn't work with BC and has 2 outputs.

This way you can have both. Use the 'Automatic' guy in your BC factories, and keep the non-automatic version for manual use.

For now though, I'll stick with the automatic :). I've used several rotary macerators in my factories and LOVE THEM for it :).
