Whats the power switch do?

Good to know, thanks! :). Looks like I should consider upgrading to 1.8.x (or 1.9) and re-start my lets play series!
Thanks again for the info!

It's already fixed in the next release.
Incidently -- can tele-porters (dash to remove the smiley) be hooked up to Wires now, or do they still need to be touching an MFSU? (Also, is that intended?)

Hey guys,
Just curious if a decision has been made regarding a bug fix release for 1.7.3? I'd like to use a few things (Specifically teleporters) in my 1.7.3 lets play, and I'm curious if I'll be able to. I've seen a few comments around the forums where the devs say they have fixed certain bugs (Induction furnances and BC pipes, for example) as well as teleporters exploding and missing recipes in the 'next release'.
I of course understand if you aren't, 1.7.3 is depreciated at this point, and I would totally understand if you didn't want to support that version of the game
I also realize that MCForge isn't updated to 1.8.1 yet.
I am not asking for release dates -- Just want to know if there will or will not be a bug fix release that supports 1.7.3 so I can plan out my Lets Play
Thanks in advance, please don't ban me :). Love this mod!

Has anyone tried out these patches?

What's to stop another player from running up to your teslas after they discharge and using a Freq trans of their own to set it to them?
Why not just have a Redstone power switch, set to a Repeater Delay of 10s to power them all down so you can safely pass in that small window of time?
Good point, I often forget about the Multiplayer aspect :). Yea, I have my tesla coils on a switch (With wireless redstone) so I can turn them on and off.

I built a HUGE factory that combines Glowstone into Industrial Diamonds using Equivalent Exchange, Buildcraft, and IC2. Its featured in my Lets Play episodes 31-33.
I then upgrade it in Episode 37 to use rotary Macerators.
Heres a quick video of the end result -- You can watch me built it start to finish in my Lets Play series.

I think you can tell from the subject my idea, but here it is :).
Take a freq transmitter, right click on a tesla coil, and if you carry that Freq. Trasmitter on your person, the tesla coil's won't zap you.
I want to setup a nice and cool Tesla Coil defense grid, but I'm scared of dying (Which I've had happen SEVERAL times!)

Ahh, thanks

Edit, they didn't work:

So playing with this a bit -- First -- I LOVE IT! Great work :). One bug found so far:
Buildcraft pipes don't work with items going INTO the machine. Regardless of the pipe going into the Top, Bottom, or Side, it always tries to put items in the output slot.
Wooden pipes on the side DO pull from the output slot, so thats good :).
Note that if the Output slot is occupied, items filter into the battery slot next.
Typically buildcraft has items work like so :
Pipe into the top - Top input slot (Where you'd put items here)
Pipe into the bottom - Bottom input slot (Battery)
Pipe on the side - Output slot. -

No anti-virus installed. I'm a crazy person. Also I'm very technically inclined. Do you use Fraps? do you have multiple hard drives? If so are your videos going to a seperate drive from where the minecraft data is? Is it a performance drive?
I use fraps, but the videos are going to the same drive. My game lags a LITTLE when its running, but usually its ok. Its nothing special, just a standard SATA drive (not SSD)
My PC is a quad core with 4gb ram (i should get more) and a decent video card. Its like 3-4 years old or so.

Check out what someone just linked me on Youtube

EPIC WIN right there!

Thanks Chrome -- the filler idea is actually pretty good. I might try that :). I do know about the blue beams thing, I usually use it but I probably just skipped it in my videos.
I did play around last night, and found the Dirt + sand = gravel recipe. I was thinking about just making a SMALL addition to my machine, that takes Cobble, splits it 2 ways, 1 way to dirt, 1 way to sand, and then make gravel, and send it back along the original pipe to the gravel -> Flint chest. Then I could just dump cobble into my 'input' chest and get flint. Cobble is common enough that this would be a good use for it.
Obsidian is easy to come by with that factory I have as well.
I don't like insertion pipes -- i know I use them, but heres the problem I've run into. Your machine is full, insertion pipes move onto the next path. 1 slot opens up in your machine (it processed something), 2-3 objects make it past the 'check if machine is full' point, and only 1 can fit, so the other 1-2 get stuck. Its rare-ish (My recycler setup loses a few dirt per stack going in if I put 5-6 stacks at once). I know I could then use an obsidian pipe to collect excess, but then A) It kinda makes the insertion pipe useless, might as well just use obsidian to begin with, and B) It complicates the build a bit more.
That said, I have this awesome idea about sending objects (with pipes) through a portal, and then having a vacuum pipe on the other end to suck it up. Gold pipe near the end of the piping, shoots an item out the end of it, and through an open portal. Other side, it lands on the ground (comes out the other portal) and vacuum pipe sucks it up. Unfortunately, the ONLY item I want to send a long distance through pipes is oil, and that doesn't shoot out the end of an open pipe :(.
No, you can still put items into the 'power' slot, even if it has power. The insertion pipe being on the TOP of the machine though, it should only fill the top slot. Thats how my recyclers work. Just like a furnace, Pipes to the top of the machine fill the top slot, pipes to the bottom of the machine fill the bottom slot (In this case energy, or with a furnace, the fuel slot), and pipes on the side pull output slots.
I should start making my house look purty, I just feel like that might be a boring youtube episode ;).

Fixed for the next release. That was a hard one
Diamonds for you!

There are external programs that generate them. That looks like Cartographer, but i can't be sure:)
