I was just wondering what is everyone's experiences with the ID Resolver mod (assuming you use it)? I'm trying to figure out whether or not to use it or bite the bullet and reorganize my ID's by hand.

crap this one is trying to use minecraft lingo the bots are getting smarter
I can remember when they were limited to what the damn bot had pre-programmed into them.
If it's at all possible, I do have a suggestion, would it be possible to add a captcha to the sign up process? It'll help slow/stop the spambots.
-
Hah, it's a "smart" spambot I think I've only seen once. They gather phrases from posts in the threads they're spamming in other forums (or in this example this very forum) and then use them to spam.
Crap... Spam-bot technologies have gotten better, I remember when they could only use phrases pre-programmed into them.

Copper and tin crops would be nice, but what I'd really like to see is a sunflower which makes energy very slowly, like a fraction of a solar panel.
I sense a "Plants vs. Zombies" reference here...
But I do agree, copper and tin crops would be nice.

i have a problem with this texture pack the blocks have to lil blocks of fire and a vortex it the to right corner. anyone know how to fix this i am running the latest version of IC2.
Did you use MCPatcher or are you running Optifine?

basically it put MFSUs on "frequencies" so you can have 20 million energy on tap anywhere you build one.
any on that same frequency can either accept or have energy drained out of it. Each one also has a configurable output, 512, 128 or 32 EU/t.Thanks, makes sense now. Essentially the EU is synchronized across these units.

Actually, biome altering via the Terraformer hasn't been forgotten, the code is there in the Mushroom TFBP, but it's still experimental and flaky.

Well, applying MC Patcher after copying ModLoader and Forge into minecraft.jar render IC2 inactive
Using Sphax textures without MC Patcher causes 'miniportal' and 'minifire' on the smoothstone...I will try Optifine, and if this do not help, I guess I have to learn to love the default textures
Anyway, thanks for your answers gentlemen.
EDIT: Looks like using OptiFine AFTER ModLoader & Forge do the trick! Many kudos ultimate_omega!
No problem at all.

Just downloaded the snapshot, and I have to admit that it's pretty slick. They've definitely optimized some of the code since 1.2.5, I'm getting about a 10 FPS increase compared to 1.2.5 without Optifine.
Honestly, I'm looking forward to 1.3, though not for the wait for my mods (I'll just stick with 1.2.5 till then)
Oh, I can tell that the install procedure for mods will change.
-
It's recommended to patch the jar AFTER installing ModLoader and Forge.
Or use Optifine, it works like MCPatcher and can give you a FPS boost: [1.2.5] OptiFine HD_A2 (FPS Boost, HD Textures, AA, AF and more) - Minecraft Forum

Just the dinghy, Jeet mentioned yellow being the standard colour so I changed it, and got rid of the stripe on the inside. Pretty happy with the canoe so that's staying as it is. Looking forward to the video!
Hmm... The canoe looked different to me... Oh well. The dinghy looks good now. I'd really like to see how the oars turn out. Keep up with the good work!
I'll PM you with a link to the video tomorrow.

Now 1.2.5 is out, but whats about 1.3
Its a giant overhaul of Minecraft, i think even for Forge it will take a very long time to update, because of the following:
- 4096 Block-ID's will be fixed (Some mods are actually having Problems with the 4096-ID-fix)
- Serverlogic will be mostly in Client (maybe we will nevermore need a seperate Serverversion of our Mods)
- New Mod-API (lets hope it makes moddeveloping faster in the Future)Alone fixing that, would need much time for the Moddevelopers, so we have to wait even longer for a 1.3-Release of our precious Tech-Mods.
So what do you think? When can we expect the next release of IC²: 1 Week, 2 Weeks or a Month after 1.3 is released? (THAT WAS NOT ASKING FOR A RELEASEDATE!!! ONLY WHAT THE PEOPLE THINK ABOUT IT!)
Considering the MASSIVE changes coming to Minecraft in 1.3, the obfuscation is going to change a lot which will set Forge back a ways; taking that into account, I estimate, about a month or three after 1.3.
What I find interesting is that Minecraft will be completely server-sided (creating a server for "SSP").

TOR?No, it's our own variation of TOR (built from the ground up) with the ability to defeat the data transfer caps that we had placed on us a little while ago. Both of us were enjoyed when we found out that our school will be adding Wi-Fi within the year. Makes our jobs a lot easier.
Anyway, grabbed the update, and I do think that Cider updated the textures for the Dinghy and Canoe. They look cleaner now.
Monday, I plan on doing a quick video showcasing this addon. I finished with (mostly) a massive assignment from my Biology class, so I've got some free time to burn.

On further extensive attempts and investigation, Forge seems to be the issue... Seems like IC2 wants a version of Forge that I can't locate. (v3.1.2.94, to be exact.)
/pout.
Oh well. Disregard me, I guess...

I do want to give this mod a try when it's update to IC 1.95b. Could someone give me an explanation of how this mod works? The OP doesn't seem to fit this for me.
-
Found out that they are not log out proof, Meaning that if one of the boats is placed in the world it will disappear when you log back into the world.
Tested in SSP
Found that out too. I think it has something to do with entity persistence (similar to a bug in IC2 a few updates ago)

Technical Term for that is "optimised away", and the Deployerbug is not part of that optimisation, only the Framemovement of E-net-Entities
Okay, so he was talking about the Frames at the time. That what I get for being half awake at the time.Player: Good to know that it will be fixed.
-
OMG I know! We can't download like any files, .exe, .jar anything... School firewalls suck. But I like this mod too. Looks very cool.
A friend and I are working on a little something to hopefully remedy that.
Anyhow, on topic, I just installed the Boats and I friggen' love it. The Carbon-fibre is the cure for my boat woes (I hate those wooden POS's breaking), and the rubber dinghy is amazing. I usually have some rubber left over from cable making and now I have a use for it.
Thanks a lot for this. I will actually be using this in my Let's Play that I plan on starting once I'm done with this massive assignment from school.

(Somewhat) known. The Enet is (according to RichardG) too highly optimized for use with RP2 (at least I think that's the case, he might've been talking about the Frames at the time)
