because of the way that ic2 discharges things, it can only reset when onUpdate() get's called instead of just ignoring the discharge call

I think that this suggstion should be taken a step further to:
make the methods non-static and item specific, so we can change how thing charge/discharge/etc.
of course so that newbies don't freak out when they have to specify all of these new methods, the current static methods would stay, so that they could just make it a call to th standard function

because I find it annoying that my golden orb will technically run out of power after like 1.5 years of not putting it in your inventory (it resets it's power when in your inventory)

while I'm at it, migh as well make this an offical addon

try downgrading your f4113nc0r3, I took out that method in later versions, because it was less precise

what version are you using? this only works with 1.106, not 1.107 or 1.108
and you have to use MC 1.3.2 as well if you are not

ok his error report contained more infomation, and it looks like you have codechickencore installed and it is crashing for some reason

first crash: what MC version are you using? that looks alot like an error that you might get if you were not using 1.3.2
second crash: that is something related to the nightvision goggles, not my addon

np, I think the bug is an e-net thing, none of the changes I made would have caused that

ok, the reason you need to go through all that is that the class files are in a code that the computer understands, not people
decompiling changes it into something we can understand,
MCP is a tool called MinecraftCoderPack that does the decompiling, recompiling, and reobfuscating for you
You also have to use a special method that is described in GregoriousT's profile, to decompile ic2
Then you need to learn java and how to code in MC,
then you recompile, reobfuscate and you have an addon
(and then come the bugs )

no, no, no, it's alot more complex than that, you have to decompile ic2 with mcp, fix about 50 or so minor bugs, make your changes, (which are a bit more than just one) and then recompile and reobfuscate,

what you want is pretty simple, if you want I could make it for you and pm it to you in a jiffy
if you want to make it, well, then it's alot more complex
