That's a wonderful "real world" rationalization, but it fails in consideration of Minecraft's inventory system. Even though they "don't have lids", you could carry 36 of them separately.
And honestly, cells don't "have lids" either - they are an integral container. The fact that we can load them by right-clicking on the source is a workaround for the sake of convenience anyhow.

I'm simply saying that if you allow a cell (which uses 1/4 of a tin ingot) to work exactly as a bucket, you might as well make buckets stackable too.

So it proves nothing because you measured it wrong you cannot claim that your windgen farm produces less eu with such data.

It doesn't matter where you measure it, if you are looking for the maximum result. If you get a reading of up to 500 EU, then after an update you can't ever get more than 200 EU at that spot, there has been a change.
Your doubt does not influence the reality of the situation - wind power was decreased (per the 1.337 update notes), and then fixed (per the 1.337b update notes).

Ultimately, how much is academic - Alblaka documented a change, and a reversal of the change. It was lower for a while but now it is back to previous levels. Debating the whys and wherefores does not change that.

Well still something went horribly wrong if you are measuring 500 eu/tick from 16 windgens.

Nothing "went horribly wrong". A 2048 EU packet was sent down the line and lost 48 EU. The measurement over the previous 3 ticks would have been 0, and the 4th tick would result in an average reading of 500 EU. Pretty simple math.
Just telling you what I saw.

I am aware that there are people who isn't as familiar with this stuff as me and i respect that

That's my issue... you clearly don't "respect" that. I can agree with your frustration - people do need to read more carefully and exercise a little common sense! But we can be cool about it unless it's a chronic case.
Basically, being a jerk about it doesn't get through to the people you're trying to "help", it only diminishes how others will perceive your contribution. Look at someone like FlowerChild from BTW, for instance - anything relevant he might have to say on issues is clouded by the way he speaks to and treats others.

Common sense is VERY important (and sadly, not very common) - but civility is equally important. I am assuming you are offering advice because you genuinely want to help others, not just to make yourself look important. If that's truly your goal, an attitude that can be seen as condescending and arrogant will actually get in the way of helping. If you turn someone off the matter entirely, they just won't bother - and then you've just wasted your time and effort.

You can be smarter than everyone and still be cool about it, you know. Take it from me. :P

Now i hope i wont run out of ids, bah ill drop millenaire anyway i dont need more stupid villagers :D

I think you've made a good choice - and after you try out all the fun stuff in Forestry you will be glad you got it!

(BTW, is that your Rock Band character in your avatar? I love that game.)

Still im confused, How can there be 32k IDs for Items and "just" 255 for Blocks?

My theory is because the WORLD is made up of blocks... items are more or less just tracked in inventory.
It may be an oversimplification, it may be wildly inaccurate, but I'm sure there was a reason.

It seems to be a common issue with any rechargeable item from a 1.23 add-on - electric treetaps and digital thermometers are two that come immediately to mind.
I can get by fine with a wooden treetap for now - I only use the resin for torches; my Forestry Rubber Plantation harvests plenty of rubber wood when I need actual rubber.

luminators, because glowstone just isn't enough.

So... you go to the Nether to get power for your luminators - which provide the same light level as glowstone blocks, but also need power... when instead you could just build Glowstone blocks from a material which could be found... in the Nether?

I really think you have obviously not given enough thought to the justifications for your actions. You're tilting at a windmill here.

Then I stand corrected. I didn't notice it before using RedPower, of course, and so (apparently incorrectly) concluded that it was added in RP.
In that case, Alblaka, what do you say to the original idea (UU-M recipe for silver?)
Personally, all I see it doing in standalone IC is cheapening the Glass Fibre recipe, if the silver cable recipe is native to IC after all.

Not to mention, you didn't seem to list TMI in the mods you use... though it's clear from the screenshot.
I'm starting to hate that thing - so many people with bugs are using it and so many times, it seems to be the cause of the issues.
Doesn't appear to be the case this time, but still... one wonders what else it's messing up.

Naturally, my 5 cactii per minute cactus farm wasn't up to the task of powering 2 induction furnaces (let alone the REST of my factory that had been installed on the same powerline)...

Since you're already using BuildCraft... have you considered adding the Forestry mod? There's a nice machine that more easily collects fallen cactus, there's a fermenter and a still to turn cactus and other plant matter into biofuel (better than IC biofuel - the yield is nearly as good as BC fuel) and you will net more power than you would from simply burning it.

Im confused as on what bug is hindering the development of IC2 for 1.00

Most likely, it's impatient Johnny-Come-Latelies posting "when is the 1.0 release?" questions.
Alblaka's too busy banning you to work on the mod, I guess.
