Putting a reactor on a crawler. That's some serious mad science stuff, there.
Inspired... and insane. I don't want to be anywhere near that thing when it's working!

You are claiming windgens produce 30eu/tick now that is silly.
I never claimed anything of the sort. Reading Comprehension FTW.QuoteMeasuring after its transformed is VERY INACCURATE (PLS READ THAT NOW). Even if only 1 solar was connected to it it will be possible to measure 500eu/tick they way you do it. Dont you understand that?
I didn't need an "accurate" measurement. What I did was sufficient to substantiate that things had changed in 1.337, and changed back in 1.337b. Can't YOU understand that? If you can't, check the update notes.
Lofty minds understand concepts, while petty minds nitpick the details. You can't see the forest for the trees. -
I haven't stopped playing my 1.81 world, but today I did start my 1.0 world with BC/RP/Forestry. Basically I have everything available that I'll need later, except rubber and uranium.
And I've got a good head start because there's a ravine near the spawn and several m,assive oil deposits nearby! -
That is promising - it means someone has figured out what was causing 1.23 add-ons to crash when attempting to recharge their items.
Hopefully the developers of Thermometers and More TreeTaps follow suit soon. -
Awesome, I'll go watch it! Sour stomach woke me up, this will keep me pleasantly occupied.
I love this add-on, it goes nicely hand-in-hand with PowerCrystals' Power Converters. The two should join forces and become the next D!

Thanks! I was using the old one and hadn't (yet) encountered any issues, I'll apply this one now.

An Iridium Plate now needs a diamond, 4 advanced alloy, and 4 Iridium Ore (made with 7 UU-M in the same pattern as the "old" plate). So now, an iridium plate is 4 times more expensive (well, 5.3 times if you count the diamond).
It used to take 70 UU-M to make a suit, now it will take at least 280. -
Yeah, it's like IMDb or TV Tropes...

You implied that there was something hindering the development of the 1.0 release - just a few days after the most recent release. This indicates an extreme lack of patience - don't you dare presume to tell others to "grow up".
Sit down, stop fidgeting, and you'll get your IC2 for 1.0 when it's damn well good and ready, understand? -
Did you even bother to READ anything else I wrote? I didn't say every tick, I said that was the maximum output in any given tick and clearly explained why.
If you can't comprehend what a 2048 EU packet over a 60m HV wire works out to after measuring for 4 ticks, then please don't try to correct me on anything.I notice a couple of you telling me what I "cant" get out of it, buit none of you seems to know what amount I should get out of it - or what I could have gotthen out of it before 1.337b.
It's clear there was a change (as stated in the update notes), that's the point of this thread. It's also clear (from the update notesfor B) that it was changed back. My measurements support this conclusion, but even if you contest them, it doesn't change the fact that things were changed:Quote
v1.337 (IC²)
Reworked Windmill mechanicsv1.337b (IC²)
Fixed Windmill GUI and increased Windmill gain slightlyWhy are we even continuing to have this discussion?

Such an aggresive answers to an ordinary working man's problem... come on. ;).
I'm just teasing him - he's an OK guy.
Besides, I think he's got a fantastic avatar on the Minecraft forum! -
Not that it produces enough volume for most people's recycling needs, but I saw a neat little tiny self-powered RP cobblegen today:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2DnhLDo5vIFits in a 4x4x3 area and works wonderfully!

You will find it a godsend if you also play BuildCraft and/or RedPower.
If you do go with RP, I'd recommend the CraftGuide instead of Recipe Book - otherwise you'll have thousands of pages of recipes for covers, plates etc. CraftGuide has a useful filter. -
You can upload a picture to Google to search for the image. The search function is under Google Images, the little camera in the search box.
Ah, gotcha. Familiar with VtM (played the pen-and-paper version long ago). More of a Werewolf guy myself, it's a shame that the PC version of that fell through. -
No idea how to use Google to match an image... if Google has a functionality like TinEye's, I've never heard of it.

It's a browser issue - try a different browser. Preferably one that lets you translate between English and your native language...

There isn't one I know of yet, but Amon had mentioned that he was thinking about doing one as an add-on for the Sphax pack. That would be nice - some of the Forwstry textures are kind of jarring in a 64x environment - but it's still worth using!
-
So basicly, what i've understood is, that he could make it 16 bit and force it to be WAYS more smarter or better saying more convienient?
Not... quite.
An 8-bit address for block IDs means you have 2^8 possible numbers, for a range of 0-255. Using 16 bits might be overkill (2^16= 65536) but it would certainly be "future-proof". Perhaps with that and a standardized modding API, mod developers will be able to work in a particular range to avoid conflicts, and everyone will have plenty of elbow room. -
It's reasonable enough - and it nicely illustrates why some "overlap" in features is a good thing. Both RP and IC have electrical lighting, but it's done differently and as such, each one is more suitable to a particular purpose.
-
You won't need it until IC2 is ready for 1.0 anyhow. At least this way, you can start on a world. Unlike ores, it's easy to get rubber close to home even in an old world - venture out until you find some trees, cut them down and bring the saplings home. Not the ideal solution but it's how I got started with IC2 with my original world from Minecraft 1.3-ish.
Aside from uranium, a 1.0 world with BuildCraft and RedPower will have all the other ores you'll need for IC when it makes the switch. Add in Forestry if you want more options for tin, copper and bronze later (and so that you can farm trees!)
