Some people like to use the "instability" as an excuse to just fuel their hate for the mod. 90% of 1.7.10 mods are still in beta, so if they have any other mods but refuse to add GT, then they just hate GT and don't want it on their server.

I think this addon only gives that ability to IC2 cables. So you can connect your RF generators to RF machines or Ic2 machines, but you must use IC2 cables.

Look into Custom Stuff 2. It's simple enough, and just make sure you use Notepad++ so you can find your errors when 'programming' the 'mod'. Of course, this would also require you to be making the textures yourself...

I've been getting this too, and somebody reported it on the IC2 bug tracker as well. It seems to be either NEI related or OreDictionary related. For me, I've been seeing things like this:

1. Search recipe for crafting table
2. Craft it using birch planks
3. Now every other type of wood is entirely useless(expect non-oredict things like stairs and slabs)

It's a choice between "Oh man, this thing takes forever to update, look at all these bugs that still aren't fixed!" Or "Oh man, this thing updates so fast, I can't keep my modpack up to date!"

The latter can wasily solved by sticking on one version until you feel the need to update, or you encounter a critical bug. The former cannot be solved.

From my tests it seems that holding shift is the only to get the liquid into the machine...

1: No mods can add loot to Nether Fortresses, IIRC
2: I find tonnes of iridium in TC dungeons >.>

Macerators are not the first machine in the game AND there are Diamond veins which are far, far more profitable than small diamond

It is still possible, just rarer. Also, I just told you how those Crushed Ores can be turned into diamonds. Also, try a Fortune pickaxe.

Well at least it stops me from digging for hours on level 7 to get my diamonds

Small Diamond has a 1/3 chane to drop a Diamond Gem(of varying quality). You should save the Crushed Ore you get from that too, because you can put it into a Sifting Machine to get more diamonds.
