Forestry and Railcraft are, IMHO, the most unwieldy of all current popular mods. Just clunky, badly implemented, outdated, non-standard, unfriendly... nothing good to say. Lately been having ticking entity errors crashing players out due to Railcraft has put it on my hit-list. I doubt my next server will use it, it's caused too many headaches. Forestry managed to stay under the radar mostly because noone uses it for anything anymore, but it's always been a bit of a 'why do we have this again? Bees? That's literally it.'

I tried the hardcore end thing, it's unbalanced, brutal, and laggy. Really not a great mod and would conflict with a GT server terribly, but that's just my opinion.

Anyone know a good mod to make the end... endless? I'd like to see some floating islands or something so there's a chance of finding some of those end ores from GT5U

4 days, i'm almost ready to fire up the teflon machine. MAN this was an undertaking!

I've always tried to stick to a 3x3 (9 chunk) base area, since that's what the Railcraft chunkloader loads. It uses enderpearls. I set it to last for 12 hours for offline chunkloads, and 24 for online-only chunkloads.

A greggy chunkloader.... hmm.... uses EU and liquid enderpearl? XD

No, more like a visual flowchart. I mean I can manage fine without it, but some people's heads may explode about the teflon. It'd just be nice if someone made a visual flowchart to slap on the wiki.

Someone should make a visual progression chart for GT5U for the learning impaired like myself.

Figuring out how to make polytetrafluororthylene (AKA Teflon) was a chore. I'm gonna need a loooooot of new/redundant machines for this.

Sounds fair! MOX is almost cheaty by comparison to E-U. However even still the entire system is wierdly nerfed. AFAIK, IRL nuclear fission is the highest energy output for plant size to any other technology. So it seems silly that a nuclear reactor can't keep up with a simple diesel engine!
This will finally encourage me to learn how the liquid nuclear reactors work in IC2. Unless the system will be totally gregiated, which is even better.

Also, is the oil drill, prospector, and drilling fluid already in? Because I don't see the fluid as craftable and the wiki suggests the drill and such don't work yet?

I'm with Nox, though a little more friendly about it. It is a bit confusing, but sometimes the best way to learn is to just go crazy and blow up a few bases in the process!

Also, Blood: I noticed the new reactor recipe. OUCH! EV gear? Harsh! Definitely going to make nuclear a end-of-life technology now!

I can't recognize some of the machines by icon. Bad eyesight.

I don't see it on the wiki. What all machines does a multiprocessing array support? I'm unsure how electrolyzers would work with cells and such for example

PFAA does this already, plus it's even flammable. However the lag it creates is truly crippling. Even the best servers will completely die if the fluids can't settle.

I removed the Minetweaker scripts and am still having problems.

Odd question but... Do solar panels attached to Steam turbines (or other power-producing machines) contribute to the output? Might be a useful way to counteract efficiency loss.

Also, how do you 'recharge' an LZH or RSH condensator? I can't seem to combine redstone or lapis with them in my crafting grid or a workbench. Am I missing something?
