That werent an exploit, but an overengineering of mechanics.
Just like you can do with GT small buffers + solar panel covers [32 EU/t "multiblock" panels].

Real watermills would require a big dam + waterfalls + watermills with rotors on the end of waterfall to transform gravitational energy into kinetic and then into electrical.

Try bothering GregTech or Level Storage, if IC² (active) devs ignore it (Player/Thunderdark [GregoriusT])
GregTech has a bridge between magic and tech, with the magic absorber and converters, but thats it for now. It really needs some "techmaturgy", in my opinion.
If it gets DBG (Denied By Gregtech), try suggesting to Level Storage. It may implement it as an end-game item with recipes requiring tons of iridium (and osmium, if you have GT).

RawCode : have you ever considered making an addon of yours for IC²?

2 UUM water blocks = infinite water in the nether [If you use a drain cover to collect it].

Make the head have chunkloading properties (when it is working), while the main block is loaded by you, then you won't have problems with chunkloading.

What about an horizontal miner? [So it digs on X and Z axis and will look on Y for ores]
More like a tunnel bore machine, however it digs like IC² miner, as long you have pipes.

GregTech is making minecraft approach reality as much as possible, making the tech progression realistic, thats the problem people have been facing.
Before you could get an iron pick (and luckily a diamond pick) in the first 5 minutes of gameplay.
You don't progress from stone age (stone and flint) to metal age (iron, bronze) in a few hours (MC-wise). It was (and is if GT is not installed) like steve is a magical blacksmith which doesnt need ANY kind of tool to smelt, smash and handle metals and gems.

Cool thing is : Suggest something to IC². Did it get denied by IC²? Try suggesting to GregTech. Did it also get denied? Try suggesting to this mod :3
This mod will probably hold the most fancy thingies that are reasonably OP and got denied by IC and GT, due not fitting their tech trees.
