Are you sure Gamma is Ionizing? I mean, it's pure Energy and not consisting of Electrons or Protons.
I'm kinda sure it is. Gamma rays are high energy waves capable of "exciting" electrons and causing other unexpected behavior.
However it is the least ionizing, as it is just energy, with the greatest "range" of all radiations.
Alpha and beta are very ionizing, but their "range" is low and can't go through many stuff, unlike gamma rays.
Is there an advantage to taking total armor value over 20?
I suppose it is good to defend you against damages that are higher than 20 points of damage (10 hearts).
My only question with that screenshot is why you've got so many HV pneumatic generators? Wouldn't it be easier to just pipe all the power into 1 pneumatic generator (or 1 per bank)?

The thing is that unmanned watermills, when in clusters generates so few EU.
Considering your "horizontal tower" style, each one generates 0,16 EU/t.
Thats cool, now you should make an alternate version for GregTech solar (it changes the recipe a bit, making it more expensive) .
Okay, I've got it to work. How do I mod the .jar file via MultiMC for 1.4.7? Quick few tips would be good, if you don't mind.
First place ALL mods you want (including dependencies like forge) in the central mods folder (click the icon that is a folder with a star to open it)
Second, make a new instance with the version you want (you probably have made one already), then select it, click edit mods, add all mods you want one by one in their respective areas (jar, coremods,mods).
Once done, click play and input your username and password.

At half a stack of coal (or alternatively, 72 charcoal and a lot of infrastructure) per windmill those are pretty effectively nerfed too. Silicon I at least get as a byproduct.
Well, you can make plates from sugar canes if you have a bit of infrastructure.
You can use one of my windmills tower setup (although that will cost you some sky space, if you want to produce massive amounts of energy).
Try compact setup if you want power in a smaller area, however it may require some annoying obstructions while building it.

I know, that's why i make a cooking pan and not nuclear furnace, it is limited to food items, they are not so many and therefore not op. There is no troubles to code mathematic model, I just not good at balancing things. One of idea was to make it actually consume heat from reactor, but again I'm not sure about numbers because it may lead to overcooling reactor.
Well, a heat consuming nuclear furnace would be nice.
Overcooling is not a problem if you have heating cells and depleted isotope cells.
then you have not used the ICBM mod, they do this when you set off nukes, you have to clean it up or it'll eventually spread all over the place, unless you have that disabled in the config.

Thats only landscape contamination, his intention was to make air/land/water, every block radioactive, which would needs much more spread coding and tons of shit as he wants radiation in different levels and it "fades" off after some time.
Minechem2 has a form of this, if you have a radioactive element in your inventory it slowly counts down until Decaying time, the more radioactive the element the more damage you take when it decays.
His intention is to have environment contamined with radiation which is what i'm talking about being CPU intensive and hard/nearly impossible to code.
Sorry to say but it would be way too CPU intensive and hard to code that nobody may want to make it.
Failing that... it's called 'placing dirt blocks over the hole'.
You could start quarrying underground so the first blocks are not mined, use IC² miner which is nearly 100% landscape friendly and many other options.
Probably not, maybe just an overlying onWorldTick() check to see if any containers have food, and to measure how long they have been in there... Would be terribly laggy having to do that for EVERY container in SMP...
Still, a machine to freeze water/food and help create compact food stores would be nice... Would be cheaper to use instead of going thru the compressor (for water, that is)...
Well, that may work similar how MineChem 2 decays its radioactive compounds and how a special chest made of lead "freezes" decaying.
However you would have to override vanilla food items for that.
