PFAA would be similar, but with less types and those types are actually useful for something (identifying possible ore location), instead of being a mere decoration.

I should mention that you cannot increase the Amount of Veins in GT. It always generates the Maximum Amount of Veins, which is 1 per 3x3 of Chunks.
Also I already found actual Iron Ore in a Magnetite Vein so it cannot be that rare.
@above: That is because of the Harderrocks Config of UB being set to a 4 times higher Block Resistance. The Durability of GT Tools gets reduced depending on the Hardness of the Block you mine. This causes vanilla Tools to be slightly better on Stone, but worse on Ores. I will make a nerf against all Vanilla Tools btw.

Also: I found a Solution for the "Block not minable in Adventure Mode" thing. I will make the Crowbar able to mine everything that cannot be mined using another GT Tool, so if nothing else can mine it, try the Crowbar. You still need the proper Quality ofcourse.
Yea lets mine the AE meteorite with a thaumium crowbar! ... :3
@oregen: Looking for heights is not that simple as harderstone is there in place, i'd rather look for rock deposits that i know i may find the ore.

Two days have passed and no cassiterite vein, neither diamond, nor anything visible on caves. I want PFAA back

I did recommend to to Invultri that if we do go down the path of GT ore blocks, we double the spawn rate of ore (if we can) and we half the amount each vein gives us (or triple / third etc). Veins will be more common, but will have less ore, which is a pretty good trade-off.But i like the aspect of big veins, it feels more realistic as mines usually have huge veins of concentrated ore rarely. Also gives a much better feeling when you find one of those.
That's a good point actually, I hadn't even considered that.I guess that is because Greg hasnt added those steps for PFAA ores yet.

Geologica ores seem to be branch mining friendlier, and generate in a sizes more comparable to vanilla veins.
Nope: http://imgur.com/a/98DSV, big sizes just like GT but it has a proper vein pattern.
UB looks to be decorator friendly, and Geologica is more realistic.
Anyone know if you can make Geologica ores into bricks, stairs, fences, cobble, and smooth varieties?
Geologica drops cobble/rubble for many of its rocks, so may be able to make, and if not we have chisel+carpenter for that sake.

Why, just have pfaa worldgen and disable chromite, which is the only "op" ore.

I prefer PFAA over UB because Greg's oregen algorithm is too random. I want something that i know i will find somewhere specific.

I dont think i can force my exit of the spatial cell, but i can definetely mess up its insides.
The inside of a spatial cell is another dimension, where you only have a volume depending on the cell you got trapped. Walls, floor and ceiling are completely black.
