Sounds like a great solution. Now I have a big favor to ask. Can you tell me, how does one disable a craftable item?

    Actually, I'm not totally sure.

Rawcode on the support forums said:

    Quote

change mod_ic2.class - it contains all recipes, serverside change will work ever if clients unchanged.

to someone wanting to disable to Mass Fabricator. I don't know if it can be edited by Notepad. Probably not. There should be a way (with something, see FenixR below).

Uhm, you know, that stuff is like... visible to everyone? It's the original redWheat suggestion in the suggest-crops thread. It was obviously the inspiration for this crop... though it doesn't necessaryly translates 1:1.

I know, but the chances everyone's seen it is low. Guess it's just my opinion that it's basically the same as looking at the code.

And... Yes, I was the one who suggested it. :p

How about Reinforced glass pressure plate? Pressed by players only. Almost or complete invisible.

The reinforced Glass/Stone could be used for Pressure Plates... Not sure which would make more sense for each one, but one that only detects players, and one that only detects mobs would be cool. (More-so when villagers can open doors in 1.2 >.<)

Some other, smaller (or incompatible...) mods have this, but it would be nice, on top of the CF Door/Pressure plates. (And I remember hearing about a Reinforced Glass Door somewhere...)

Do you have a suggestion on how to increase the security? As far as I know it's impossible to prevent more then one person from accessing the same block at the same time.

Personal safes do, but they're permanently locked... I'm curious if it's possible to allow a 'temp lock' on it, based on the user accessing it.

But then that adds another form of griefing. 'Lulz, I'm afking at your box and there's nothing you can do!'

Maybe something like what Forestry has for it's machines?

In the top left corner (or wherever) it shows a little box with different meanings. 'Lava Obstruction', 'Water Obstruction', 'No Energy', 'No Work Left', 'Still Working', 'Retracting Pipes' or 'Other Obstruction' (If there is one other then liquids).

    Sounds like a valid suggestion. Trading off 1 foam = 1 pellet = 2 sprays = 26 blocks
versus something like 8 Blocks in a furnace would permit the implemenation of craftable CF stairs/slaps, as well as solving the (need to waste a whole spray to fill in a single block) issue.

CF doors, and pressure plates too, maybe? Would be nice to actually have a correctly colored door and pressure plate that isn't just Wood/Stone/Iron/Reinforced Stone.

I agree with you that changing something of this magnitude in the middle isn't the best of ideas. This could be something for IC3 perhaps.
It feels that the second you finish building that Nuclear Reactor there is nothing more to do, Nuclear Reactors run so long on their fuel and you only need to be wasting energy on the Mass Fabricator until you get enough iridium. After that the game is ended, there is nothing more to do. The part I like is laying the cables, double checking the High/Medium/Low EU before I turn on my machines, everything infrastructure related to this mod is the part I enjoy the most. And all of that ends with the Nuclear Plant and the MFS :(

Hah... No offense, but Al said that IC3, if it happens, is a loooong ways off. (I forgot where I could quote that from...)

IC2 doesn't add anything but more stuff to do. It changes things from Diamond, to Quantum as endgame.

Once you reach a reactor (Or 500 HV Solar Arrays, for me) it's all about what you can build. After all, there is no true goal.

However, if someone was to mod a type of 'Hardcore IC2' mode, that doesn't have energy storage units... Some people might like it.
