EE is the only thing that even gets close to this, with the Morning Star (Pickaxe+Hammer+Shovel) and Katar (Axe+Sword+Hoe+Shears).
TC2 kind of has something similar to it, with the most recent release. (Pickaxe+Shovel and Sword+Axe.)

Uhhm, that's not Alblakas invention, it's made by Notch before he gave the Development to Jeb. It was used to store the Enchantment on Items, what is also the reason, why industrial Tools are no longer able to be enchanted. But yes they are awesome.
I wasn't expressing him having ownership- I meant that he loves using them since he started to play around with them. The possibilities are nearly endless it seems.

Even simpler: Due to NBT-Tags we can easyly create an item which can store "a location" in itself. > Rightclick with beacon, beacon will point at that location from now on. No block necessary.

I Want a Non-electric, permanent tool for IC² , strength of Diamond tools, and not (maybe) enchantable. [This would make enchanters happy :D]
To get infinite durability you have to sacrifice a ton. To get a QuantumSuit Chest as well, you need to sacrifice even more.
Iridian Pickaxe/Shovel + QuantumSuit Chest < Drill+Lappack
It has to be less, or else there is no point in having the drill anymore.
Steve's Carts has a Solar Powered Minecart as well. A few variations, last I checked. Doesn't work on EU's, but is solar powered.
So... That's 3 mods covering it. Lol.
Make Iridium Tools the same strength and speed as Iron (Thus no obsidian), but last forever and you have semi-balance.
It would also balance with the Mining Laser+AMGIRIDIAMDAGGER combo, if Al makes it Iron strength.
To make something last forever, you have to give something up- Strength and Speed. Faster then a Mining Drill is just too OP.
Obviously, the metals would be too dense for enchants- Some magic mumbo-jumbo that IC2 Technicians don't care about.
On that note- EU Limiter Cable (or, a block just called 'EU Manager') is a nice idea. Maybe have it manage both packet sizes (thus, if made expensive enough, can work as any kind of transformer, even EV->LV, or LV->EV), and manage the amount of EU allowed through it.
Wait for the IC2 PVP expansion.
Wireless EU transfer was rejected- I suggested it myself a while ago. Pwned God also has an add-on that does it, somewhat.

For me, a new suit could be useful for few things:

Don't just say 'something above Tier 3', as then that would apply all the way to Tier Infinite.
Quantum Suit is the second most overpowered armor in the game, only beaten by EE's Gemmed Red Matter Armor. You can create matter from nothing already- Solar/Wind/Water power connected to a MFSU...
The -ONLY- reason to have a Tier 4 anything is for a Large Multiplayer EU Storage Device, and a 'Test EU Generator' to make a ton of EU for free, for people to test things with- but wouldn't be craftable.
Last I heard, Al isn't adding a Tier 4 anything as there is no point.
The tank couldn't be made with metals as it might react with the bacteria or corrode. It would have to be glass or ceramic. Preferably ceramic.

I'm not sure of the need for this. It's a lot of code that doesn't add anything particularly interesting.
